The best weapons in Zombie Army 4: Dead War

Zombie Army Rebellion 4: Dead War is out now, and there's no shortage of undead Nazis to kill. Set in 40s Europe, the game is full of action and blood. And it's great for playing solo or with friends in drop-in / drop-out co-op.

The game offers a range of weapons to choose from, including pistols, rifles, and secondary weapons. Finding the right loadout can take some time, so we're here to help you discover the best weapons to use in the game.

Your taste may vary, depending on whether you feel like using a sniper rifle to take out undead from a distance or to deliver a shot at their faces. (It's more fun than you might think.) Overall, these are the most effective choices available, and they get better as you level up and get more damaging mods.

The best rifle in Zombie Army 4

There are three rifles to choose from in the set, ideal for blasting off targets from a distance. As with Rebellion's Sniper games, you can also hold your breath to aim more accurately. This is great if you're trying to hit explosive barrels or a hanging pile of metal that can crush anything underneath.

With the Gewehr 43, you are able to set up an electrified barrel. As you fire your shots at the zombies, they charge electrically, taking out everyone around them. The shots only last that long, but they are very effective in cleaning up a team of those pesky Nazi zombies.

Meanwhile, the M1 Garand has a barrel of flame. Shooting it can set zombies on fire, which is about as damaging as electric shots. At first, the incendiary mod used with this gun simply sets up charged shots. As you level up you can increase the breath for more effect. Again, this is good for knocking out large groups.

Finally, the Mosin-Nagant M91 / 30 uses explosive fire. If you're looking to land a really big shot, even from a distance, this is a good weapon to have. You can also increase its level with your rank, which makes each shot more damaging and increases its explosion radius.

The Gewehr is probably the weakest of the bunch, although some fans might have one, uh, a load. The Mosin-Nagant, on the other hand, is exceptional when you want your explosion hits to count, but takes a while to charge. Of the three, the M1 Garand seems the most balanced, especially as you install mods. Plus, the way it produces fiery explosions is very cool.

Zombie Army 4's best secondary weapon

In this category you will find both hunting rifles and assault rifles. Shotguns are good for blowing up a zombie on the ground with their explosions, although they take a while to recharge. On the other hand, assault rifles and shotguns provide more firepower, but not as powerful.

Like the M1 Garand, the M30 Drilling has a flame cannon. At first, you will have to wait for its barrel to heat up to fire it. However, when you level up and add mods, you will be able to reduce the length of said barrel, reduce recoil, and improve aim. Reload speed also increases a bit.

Then the MP44. This weapon has a good overall balance when it comes to its rate of fire and reload speed. However, it has very small clips, so you may need to reload more often than you expect. It shares a trait with the Mosin-Nagant M91 / 30 through explosive fire. As you increase it, the MP44 gives you semi-automatic fire and increased blast radius. It's a good deal when it comes to cleaning up a group quickly, provided you can reload in a timely manner.

The Trench Gun is next. It has a slow rate of fire like the shotgun that precedes it. However, it recharges much faster and does an impressive amount of damage. It also uses an electric mod, which when upgraded creates electric arcs to strike groups, and also gets increased rate of fire.

Finally, there is the Thompson Tommy pistol. It's not very good from a distance. However, use it in a group nearby and it should clean the house accordingly. It comes with a Divine Mod. As you charge it up it will do double the damage, making it useful against the toughest enemies. Leveling it up will extend the shots you can fire from 30 to 60, as well as the ability to attach a bayonet for additional melee damage.

Overall, the Thompson Tommy pistol is a favorite for Zombie Army lovers and it's not hard to see why. Still, you can't really go wrong with a shotgun that can literally breathe fire. Again, your preference may vary, but there is something about the power that the M30 drill has.

The best pistol in Zombie Army 4

While these are the weakest weapons in the game, they are a great secondary tool if you run out of ammo for others and don't have immediate access to ammo. Plus, everyone on this list is pretty specific when it comes to shooting.

The C96 pistol has the largest magazine, which is perfect for shooting zombies multiple times when they are rushing at you. It also comes with a Flame Barrel, which you can upgrade with increased incendiary explosion and fully automatic fire. Once he reaches that point he has a fair amount of kick.

Meanwhile, the M1911 is just as reliable. It also has a pretty high rate of fire, so you can easily nail multiple shots on a Nazi zombie. It also has a large magazine, so reloading is not a common problem. It comes with the Divine mod, dealing double damage with charged shots. Finally, you can multiply the number of photos you take and even attach a telescope for more precision. Once you reach level 3, a serrated bayonet also becomes available, excellent for melee damage.

Last but not least, there is the Webley MKVI. Although slightly weaker than previous pistols, it makes a big splash thanks to its explosive mod. Turn it on and you will get a bit of its accuracy, as well as the reload speed.

All three guns are good for the long haul. If we had to choose globally, we would go with the M1911. Once you've upgraded her divine ability and added a scope, there aren't any groups of zombies you can't stop.

Winner: M1911
