Pokémon Go a new event will arrive in June regarding the summer solstice for the northern hemisphere and the winter solstice for the southern hemisphere. The event is scheduled to start June 19 at 8:00 a.m. and will end on June 24 at 22:00 p.m. in your local time zone.

We initially had extremely slim details about this event for Pokémon Go beyond the exact date and time of the event. We know we have additional details and how it revolves around Lunatone and Solrock. You'll find Pokémon associated with the Sun and the Moon, such as Clefairy and Sunkern, appearing more frequently starting June 19. During the event, Shiny Clefairy will be available. You don't need to hatch it. You can catch it freely in the wild.

Lunatone and Solrock will also be available in three-star raids during the event, and you can hatch them from 5-kilometer eggs that you obtained along with the event. They will appear in different regions at unique times. Here is the schedule:

    • Lunatone will be available in the Eastern Hemisphere from June 19 at 8:00 a.m. until June 20 at 23:59 p.m. local time. It will be available in the Western Hemisphere from June 23 at 12:00 p.m. to June 24 at 22:00 p.m. local time.
    • Solrock will be available in the Western Hemisphere from June 19 at 8:00 a.m. until June 20 at 23:59 p.m. local time. It will be available in the Eastern Hemisphere from June 23 at 12:00 a.m. until June 24 at 22:00 p.m. local time.
    • Starting June 21 at 12:00 p.m., Lunatone and Solrock will appear in the former more frequently through June 22 at 23:59 p.m. local time.

Once the event is over, Lunatone will remain available in the Western Hemisphere and Solrock will remain available in the Eastern Hemisphere.

During the event on July 23, Clefairy will be in the spotlight Pokémon performing from 18:00 p.m. to 19:00 p.m. in your local time zone, so for a limited time, you're likely to see a lot of these spawning grounds in your area. Since a Shiny Clefairy will be available more frequently during the event, use this time to try and catch as many as possible.

The announcement of the Solstice event was made on the Pokémon Go Blog. It was announced at the same time as the upcoming Bug Out event, which takes place shortly after the summer solstice. The Bug Out event will run from June 26 to July 1 and will revolve around the many Bug-type Pokémon in the game.
