The Outer World: What Flaws Are Worth It?

Not everything is going to give you a bonus or an advantage in The Outer Worlds. If you continually do an opposing action in the game, your character will have side effects as a result of these activities at a mechanic called Flaws. Now you don't have to accept a loophole. You can choose not to have it and continue playing. But if you say yes to one, then you are walking along a path strewn with pitfalls. You can only get three on normal difficulty, four on the hardest, and five on Supernova. Here are the interesting weaknesses to integrate into your game.

Now, none of the loopholes are going to give you any improvements at all. Getting a rift means you'll get an added benefit, but beyond that you won't get much. You can also get credit for having three of them on one character, so if you want to fill them out, don't hesitate.

These flaws will cause your character to have a permanent impact on their skills, affecting the way they fight in combat or act in particular situations. If you're looking to find the one that's right for you without spoiling your game too much, here's what we know about those currently in the game.

Cynophobia

You are going to receive this flaw after being attacked by Canids too many times in the game. Now every time your character sees one they will lose two points of perception and one of their temper. Among the choices, players are going to want to grab this one because it's up to a specific animal. Animals aren't the biggest threat in the game, so if there's something you need to overlook, it's best to be an NPC that you rarely have to deal with in combat.

drug addiction

You are going to have this loophole by taking too much back to back medication. Your character now has an addiction and takes withdrawals whenever they don't have it for a long time and will suffer a negative point in their dexterity score. Your character also takes a negative point on perception and temperament. Among the choices, it's not too bad a trade. Drugs are not extremely difficult to locate, and players may receive different benefits for taking them.

Herpetophobia

You will acquire this flaw after being attacked too many times by Mantisaurs and Mantipillars in the game. Much like cynophobia, it is best to choose a flaw that will only become a problem for you when facing a specific enemy, namely the Mantisaurs and Mantipillars, in this case. You should have one if you want to add something to your character's growing issues.

Physical weakness

You will receive this flaw by getting hit multiple times with physical attacks from the enemy. You will only want to acquire this if you are more of a ranged fighter and prefer to fight with a gun. If you are leaning towards a 1 or 2 handed game with your character, this is a very bad option. You are much more likely to be hit in close combat than with a firearm. It is much easier for you to keep a healthy distance from your opponents.

Pitecophobia

You will have this flaw by being attacked too often by the Primals. Primals are a nasty foe, and you're going to receive a negative point for dexterity, perception, and temper when you fight them. Again, for the same reasons of cynophobia, herpetophobia, and rapiphobia, it's better to tackle a specific creature than to make it universal.

Raptiphobie

You will get the last flaw by getting attacked too often by Raptidons. Your character will receive a negative point on his willpower, endurance and temperament. Animals are annoying, but these brief encounters aren't going to define the rest of the game and cause you horrible problems. By mistaking this loophole for the Perk niche, it will increase you significantly instead of causing problems.

These are all the main weaknesses to acquire if you want to gain an additional advantage for your character. Don't hesitate to check out other deficiencies if you're curious about what else you can do to make your character's life in the Halycon settlements even worse.
