Prepare to farm everything needed for Wolf Armor.
Like many other craftable items, this specific armor's blueprint is unlocked when you pick up its main ingredient, which in our case would be silver. The specific resource is rather hard to find, but well worth it. It's located in the underground areas of the Mountain Biome, which means we have a lot to dig. Not only that, but since we do not have the wolf armor yet, it is mandatory to find other ways to withstand the cold while we search for the money.
There are two main ways to fight the cold. The first is the strangest of the bunch, but in my opinion the most accessible. You can define multiple campfires and bonfires, one after another, so that you can create a trail of them. In doing so, the moment you start to freeze you should reach the next campfire and reverse the debuff right away. Since the materials needed for such items aren't hard to find, and you should have hundreds of them at this point, I think this is the easiest way.
Due to resource management, the second method can be expensive. You can just make a lot of frost resistance meads, by throwing in a cauldron frost resistance mead base and then placing it in a fermenter. However, this whole process requires a lot of ingredients so just for the time I try to avoid it.
How to craft wolf armor.
Either way, either method can do the trick, so pick one and start heading for the metro. Before you do that, also make sure you have an Iron Pickaxe with you and a Wishbone. The first one you need to mine money. The second is our luxurious way of locating rare ore, and you can get it from Bonemass, the boss of the Swamp biome.
Activate your Wishbone and start browsing the map. The moment a green glow comes out of your character, that's when you need to start digging down, until you find the silver vein and mine it with the pickaxe. You have to repeat this a lot, because the wolf armor needs a few. To be precise:
- Ches Wolf Armort - 20 Silver / 5 Wolf Skins / 1 Chain
- Wolf Armor Legs - 20 silver coins / 5 wolf skins / 4 wolf fangs
- Cape of Wolf Armor - 4 Silver / 6 Wolf Skins / 1 Wolf Trophy
There you have it, all you need to craft the Furry Wolf Armor. An extremely useful tip: Make the cape first! Of the 3, only the heading is needed to stop the harsh weather conditions, so it's highly recommended that you craft it first, to help your farming for the rest of the parts. It's an odd choice, on the development side, so it could be something the team overlooked. We will see in future updates. For now, enjoy your new wolf armor!
