Ignore CHA at your own risk. This stat is incredibly useful, but only if you level it up to Charisma 10. At the highest level, Charisma gives you + 30% XP. It means you are always won 1/3 more EXP per battle - earn more EXP for each stat test, quest reward, or battle scenario. You always earn more XP, and it's even more useful if you get that early in the game.

Building the Charism | The fastest way to increase and build your stats
Put your leader to NO 10 is a great way to start. AT Charisma 10, you will win + 30% XP - in Charisma 9 you will only get one + 10% XP premium. When creating a character, you can immediately give your boss NO 10 and reap the rewards.
All of your stats will suffer early on, but you'll quickly outperform everyone else in your party. You will be earning skill points at a much higher rate, so that you can increase your other attributes faster. The earlier you unlock the higher level of Charisma, the more XP you will gain in the long run.
Of course, you can't give everyone in your group NO 10. It's best to give this to your boss for the XP bonus, while the rest of your team is used for other purposes - like upgrading weapons, bartering, lockpicking, hacking, and using various weapons. Your leader is a fighter and a supporter, so increasing charisma early on will help you make the leader a power that can heal and fight while giving your party a leadership boost.
There's no easy way to farm XP, but with CHA 10 you don't have to. Just enjoy the XP and level up faster than anyone else on your team. If you have a few extra stat points you want to lose, throwing them into the CHA stat doesn't hurt either.
