Random Events is the new city conversation Call of Duty Warzone Matches. You may be in the middle of a firefight, and out of nowhere a notification pops up on your screen informing you that there is a massive discount on anything you can buy at a buying station. Do you risk heading for one of them, or are you avoiding those and paying off some contracts? It depends on where you and your teammates are in the game. When do these events occur and what triggers them?
There is no clear indication of when these random events occur other than being in the middle of a Warzone match. No player should activate an item on the map, make a certain number of contracts, or remove a particular number of players. These three random events trigger approximately around the middle of a match, usually when the circle has become three times smaller. When it does, one of the three will occur.
You will not see all three of these events during a Warzone match. You only get one. More Random Events could be added to Warzone matches in the future, but when they were initially launched in Season 4, it only consists of these three:
- Jailbreak: All Gulag and Dead players who attend a Warzone match join the game.
- Supply Chopper: A heavily armored chopper arrives on the map for a limited time. If players remove it, it drops a bunch of useful items.
- Fire Sale: 80% off all Buy Station purchases, except loadout purchases and player redemptions are completely free, for 60 seconds.
Any of these events can dramatically change your Warzone match. However, if you are attending a match after your death and you're waiting for a Jailbreak and one of the other two appears, you'd better line up for a new match. You don't want to sit in a hall watching other people play when you could be playing too.
