Platypet is a particularly adorable looking Temtem, who bears a striking resemblance to a platypus. He doesn't stay cute for long, as this type of water and poison gets beefier with each of his two evolutions. Platypet will evolve into Platox after leveling 20 times, and Platox will evolve into Platimous after another 20 levels. A wild platypus should have the traits of toxic and amphibian affinity.
The Platypus is a popular Temtem due to the benefits of a water and poisonous type. Platypet will be strong against Water, Fire, and Earth types, but is weak against Electricity and Wind types. It will and will take regular damage from all other types, making it a great Temtem filler for your team.
The origins of Platypet are very interesting and have increased its popularity. Originally conceived as a hoax by Leopoldo Spagna, parties on the internet were convinced that this was a new Pokémon. PokeNinja, a Twitch streamer, fell in love with the design and was so sad that it wasn't a real Pokémon design that he decided to try and integrate it with Temtem, who was running a Kickstarter campaign at the time. He bought a special Kickstarter level that allowed people to come up with a Temtem design, then hook up Crema with Spagna, and the rest is history.
Where to find Platypet
You can find Platypet on Tucma Island. They will spawn in the Corrupted Badlands, Xolot Reservoir, and Mictlan Mines. You cannot find Platox or Platimous in the wild and will need to evolve them from a Platypet.
