Luigi's Mansion is famous for its collectibles and the third entry in the series is no exception, with those pesky Boo ghosts returning to ruin your day.
There are 16 in total, and as with previous entries in the series, you'll have to rely on visual clues to help you find them.
When you are near one, your backpack will start to shake. The closer you get to its hiding place, the more it will be shaken. When you think you are close to one, touch the object closest to you and it should appear. Otherwise, it will run away to another room, forcing you to start all over again.
You can also use the Joy-Cons HD rumble to help you find it better, as long as you're not using the Pro controller. The HD rumor will vibrate the closer you get.
When you find him, a battle will begin. You will need to use your Dark Light to spawn it. As soon as you do this, vacuum his tongue and spam A until his health bar drops to 0.
There are 16 Boos in total to collect and they are all located in different parts of the hotel. They can be found in the following areas:
- Boosement - Basement B1
- Gumboo – 1F Grand Lobby
- Booigi - Mezzanine 2F
- Kung Boo - 3F Hotel Boutiques
- Boogie - 4F - The big stage
- Boolldog – 5F – Suites RIP
- Boo-At-Arms – 6F – Castle MacFrights
- Bootanist - 7F - Garden Suites
- Booducer – 8F – Paranormal Productions
- Boones - Exhibition Hall 9F - Natural History Museum
- Anuboo - 10F Egypt Suite - Tomb Suites
- Combooster – B2 – Boilerworks
- Boofuddler – 11F – Twisted Suites
- Booccaneer - 12F - The spectral capture
- Boodybuilder - 13F - Fitness Center
- Boosician - 14F - The dance hall
Finding them won't be easy, however, you will still need to use your backpack to sniff them in one of the many rooms. They also don't spawn in the same area, so you'll have to check every room and section until you come across it, then grab it as usual.
Once you have all 16 Boos, however, it will unlock the Type-B Flashlight, which projects the image of a Boo whenever the player uses the torch. Yes, this is your top prize.
