Bravely Default 2 Dish of the Day Walkthrough
Speak with Adelle at the inn to collect the daily special, and after a cutscene, you will receive the quest. The wolf, named Fenrir, can be found along the northern road outside of Halcyonia, and it's a somewhat difficult beast to defeat. Killing a Super Wolf is a lot of work for butter, but you'll get two for your efforts. This is a 4-star difficulty quest by the way, so be sure to stop by the vendor before you leave town and refresh your stocks of gear and items.
Fenrir is a secondary boss, which means he doesn't pull his claws, so you'll want to make sure your team is all around level 6, and their jobs are roughly level 3. Since the dish of the day isn't available until after you complete the Outlaw's Lair in the prologue, you'll have access to both Tanky Vanguard and White Mage Healing jobs, which I recommend bringing into battle . While wolves in general hate daggers, Fenrir is not vulnerable to them. Instead, equip your Freelancer with a solid bow to maximize your attacks.
After leaving town, follow the road until it branches north, then continue to the Outlaw Hideout. If you have Double Dare you can get in really quickly to knock out this side quest, otherwise just continue north along the road to find Fenrir (he's the shining blue wolf: you can't miss him). Make sure to save before you start the fight - you are on the ground so you can save freely and use a tent if necessary.
Approach him to trigger a cutscene, followed by the fight needed to complete the dish of the day. To break Fenrir's fight in Bravely Default 2 down:
- Fenrir (Beast) - 3120 HP
- Low on water and bows (if you forgot to switch weapons before combat, you can do so during battle via items without losing a turn).
- Will be easily hit in triple digits, so have protection ready to tone down his physical attacks.
- If you still have Sir Sloan in your party, you'll be doing a particularly short Fenrir job.
- Otherwise, continue the attack and use your white mage to heal his heaviest hits. Fenrir might be a secondary boss, but he's relatively straightforward when it comes to attacks.
Once Fenrir is down, a cutscene will play. Then, head back to Halcyonia and return to the Innkeeper to watch one final cutscene and complete the Dish of the Day side quest in Bravely Default 2.
