Starting from the moon of Phobos, you will eventually travel to the sky above Mars and complete the level in a lost city dominated by demons. There are a lot of position changes in this level, so you should definitely use the fast travel mechanic to get back to previous areas if you forgot anything. There is something like four disconnected map sections here, which could be the new record.

How collectibles work in DOOM Eternal:
There are many types of collectibles in: Auto Cards, Runes, Praetorian Points, Weapon Mods, Albums, Cheat Codes, Toys, Sentinel Crystals, and Sentinel Batteries. Every level has an Automap, but not all levels will have Albums, Toys, Cheat Codes, or Slayer Keys.
Basically there are a ton of different collectibles, and below I'll list where to find them all - in the Fallen from start of level to end. Levels in are much more linear, so as long as you follow along, it's easy to get all of the collectibles.
Guide to collection sites
M7: Mars Core - Collectibles Locations:
Rune: In a room after your first meeting with a baron from hell. You can not miss it.
Sentinel battery: Release the bridge to the BFG-10000 to unlock a maintenance hatch. Go down, then turn around to find this collector's item.
Automap: Found in the glowing green room full of zombies - the first room when you jump into the BFG-10000 core.
Point had: In the Automap room, climb on the movable pistons to reach a high platform with this point.
Manuscript: Ride the pistons up and into the open vent, look left at the T-Junction.
Point had: In the "outer" arena of Mars, a trap door will open in the ground. Let go, then smash the cracked wall. From there, double-jump to reach an underpass in the wreckage. This leads to this point.
Secret meeting: To the left of Praetor Point, in the secret passage through the cracked wall.
Toy - Ranger: Take the elevator to the control room, then turn left into an optional hallway. This leads to a toy.
Rune: The last Rune collectible is located in the hallway of the Surface Gun control panel. After using the switch, cross the hall - and grab this rune before you jump in!
Trick Code - Powerup Mode: Assaut: After launching out of the catapult and crashing through the wall of the UAC facility, take the lower path to a springboard. You'll launch yourself through ruined ground with this easy collectable.
Point had: In the room filled with tentacles, enter the hallway and climb the vent marked with green lights.
Album – Intro (Doom 64): From Praetor point, go for the springboard. Turn around and use the pole to switch to a higher open vent with this missing collectible.
Secret meeting: After the poles, you will fall through the ground and come back down on floating pieces of the landscape of Mars. Go forward and enter inside on the left. Smash through the cracked vent and enter the portal to find this secret.
Toy - Carcass: From the secret encounter, use the jump pad to reach an upper chamber. The toy is behind the pillar.
Point had: After meeting the elemental of pain, you will have to jump through arrows floating in space. Stay on the high path, above the soft walls, and you can reach this Praetor point. It is easily visible, you just need to put yourself on the platform to access it.
Sentinel battery: Once you reach the final setup in the floating pieces of Mars area - you're going to use a jump pad to get you there - turn around and jump on the arrow platforms to reach this battery.
Sentinel crystal: Back on the outer ledge of the final UAC floating installation, enter the side room next to the front door.
Slayer Key: In the first room of the final UAC installation, enter a small control room and press a button. He moves a large window and lifts a crate - use it to reach a high cracked vent that leads to the key.
Slayer Gate: Just below the key, in a hallway in the area filled with tentacle falls.
Album - Goroth (Quake Champions): From the same elevated platform where you were able to reach the Slayer Key, jump to the opposite cracked vent.
Toy - Pinky: From the tentacle rooms in the last UAC installation, go down through the small hole and turn left to find a cracked vent. Clear your way and climb the jump mat.
Sentinel battery: After a crash landing in the Lost City, navigate to the drop-down menu and you will find this collectible to your right.
Manuscript: Nearby, right next to the lost city gateways.
Point had: The last collectible for this level is located on the left once you enter the stone interior, before the large battle arena in front of you.
