The Sims October 6 patch patch notes
- Sims 4
- Fixed an issue where the external trash cans were constantly full when Eco Lifestyle was not installed. It's good to be aware of our overall daily waste footprint, but there is something to be said about too much waste that is… seemingly uninvited.
- Sims will once again use the dining table to eat. Sometimes if I'm in a rush I grab a meal on the go and don't sit down to eat, but sometimes you have to sit down and enjoy a nice meal, you know?
- You pay your new bills, all new bills, keep track of all bills. We believe you can do it. So I hope you enjoy this update as well, as we've adjusted the batch taxes to be more appropriate per batch.
- Fixed an issue where the message "Not Extended to Operations" would appear in Build mode and interfere with the game. If this is the case with "Not Extended to Operations", I don't want to see what "Expanded to Operations" looks like , unless it's a good thing, but let's not get carried away.
- I had a good conversation with Sims who had neglected their homework with their toddlers. They can go back to potty training and read to sleep their little ones.
- Fixed an issue where favorite items in inventory were reset when editing bundles through Manage Worlds.
- Sims who have moved to other households will no longer reset household settings such as bed assignments.
- A new enemy has appeared! A challenger is approaching! Error 124: 2951a73 enters the fray… and is successfully overwritten. Good luck next time Error 124: 2951a73… well don't come back then… goodbye!
- The Lin-Z smart speaker has been updated to now play Focus and Metal stations.
- Island life
- Fixed an issue in which all non-decorative rocks would disappear after traveling from different bundles. Was it the work of impostor rocks? Igneous seems particularly devious. Sus.
- Discover the university
- Fixed an issue with the ICYA Chest where it appeared to be locked after Sims moved from one household to another. My precious! Mine!
- Eco lifestyle
- Fixed an issue that would reset Bits and Coins when Sims moved to other Households. No uh, if you move, move but leave my pieces in my house, thank you very much.
- The community voting board is no longer listed as a DEBUG item, no longer has a faulty sticker, and can be placed in the batch.
- Civil Designer Sims can now perform homework tasks.
- We have rebuilt the Store No More Home Fabricator so that it doesn't break at least once a day. All returns are subject to warranty inspection, no Simoleons have been harmed in this business.
- We spent some time tasting… I mean… monitoring the Sims' behavior in baking and baking cakes virtually non-stop. We have managed to correct this behavior, but we hope that we will not lose access to delicious products.
- Outdoor retreat
- Fixed a routing issue that prevented Sims from extinguishing Sunken Sims sitting near the Campfire. Gives a whole new meaning to “Warming up by the fireside”.
- Dining out
- Fixed an issue with restaurant menus that caused them to appear empty or corrupted. Real life blind tasting menus are one thing, but I don't think that's what this issue meant to convey.
- Fitness tips
- We have added the optional Focus and Metal station for headphones. Have you ever claimed your free headphones?
- Little life
- All-on-the-Wall Media Marathoner, and Media Marathoner now have the option for Sims to play Air Guitar. Yearrrrgggg.
- Moschino
- Fixed an issue with the [Q] and [E] keys when used with the tripod, these keys should now move the camera up and down freely. Strike a pose!
This update should download automatically on PC, Mac, PS4, and Xbox One, but you may have to wait a while for it to appear in your download queue. This update contains the first of many changes in favor of representation in The Sims 4. There is Hispanic Heritage Month content in this update, and this patch features improvements for various skin tones and hairstyles. More changes will be made by the team later this year, with an expanded library of skin tones and more coming in December across all platforms.
