Capcom has released a trailer revealing Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Title 5 update, featuring Doom and their questline. “A legendary black dragon known only as Doom. It is said to have destroyed a kingdom in one night and to have taken a castle to roost. The title update will go live on September 30, 2020.
What's new?
Doom becomes available to all players who complete the Iceborne story and complete the Alatreon investigation. This update will also add a limited-time event quest featuring Arch Tempered Velkhana.
As for new abilities or actions, the Doom update will bring the Clutch Claw Boost skill into the game, making it easier for players to damage monsters during battle.
Additions to existing content
- Soul Stream III added to the first Wyverian Ritual at Elder Melder.
- You can now use decorations of rarity 9 and above as materials at Elder Melder
- These decorations can be merged at Elder Melder: Elementless Jewel 2, Shield Jewel 2, Sharp Jewel 2, Dragon Seal Jewel 3, Mighty Bow Jewel 2, and Spirit's Eye Jewel 2.
- The new background music can now be played in your room in Seliana.
- New squad card templates have been added.
- New layered armor added.
- New pendants added.
- The scenery can now be obtained with the Overdrive bonus from Steamworks.
- When additional content that has not been purchased is available, the following menus will allow you to access different purchase pages: Gestures, Poses, Stickers, Change appearance, Pendant settings, Change manager outfit , Room customization, Music player and Figures.
Bug fixes and balance adjustments
- Parts of previous title updates that had limited vocal dialogue now feature fully voiced dialogue. Increased the amount of time damage is visible on monsters.
- Increased the chance of High Rarity Decorations to spawn from Carved and Sealed Iron Stones.
- Increased the chance of Sealed Feystones to spawn as part of the rewards for Master Rank Temperate Threat Level 3 Investigations.
- The following charms have been added:
- Razor Charm, Earplug Charm V, Master Charm V, Critical Charm III, Exploit Charm III, and Craft Charm V.
- The following decorations have been added:
- Diversion Jewel 3, Acrobat Jewel 3, and Razor Jewel 3
- Bug fixes and other adjustments will be announced at a later date.
