There are 20 research files in Final Fantasy VII Remake there assigned by Chadley. Completion of all reports unlocks the Silver Trophy Analytical Mastery. These are small side tasks that require you to perform certain actions in combat.
The files are assigned by a character named Chadley. He meets for the first time in chapter 3 and can't be missed since he is part of the story. You can meet him again at certain fixed points during the game. Once the story is completed you can retrace your steps to retrieve the missing search files.
In this guide, let's see how to get all of Chadley's research files.
While in combat, use the Matter Assess (provided automatically after talking to Chadley in Chapter 3) to recognize the weakness of two enemies of different types.
Use unique abilities on immobilized enemies and charge the ATB indicator 10 times
First Strike Matter
Each weapon has 1 unique skill. In other words, you need 10 weapons to use 10 different abilities. You can see the skill in the Equipment menu during combat. Use these skills to load the ATB indicator 10 times.
The enemies will be immobilized when you've done them enough damage. Then they will be unable to move for a few seconds. Using the kind of spell they are weak against will automatically immobilize them. Do it on 15 different enemies.
After completing all previous research files, hand them over to Chadley to unlock a VR mission against Fat Chocobo. Defeat him to complete the dossier.
There are several ways to increase an enemy's % immobilization. Recommended: Use the True Strike ability of Tifa's Purple Pain weapon (obtained in Chapter 16), which increases damage by 30% with each use. Alternatively, use Typha's Chi skills.
Refocus is Aerith's starting point when he joins the party. It's part of the story, can't be missed. Fill in the ATB indicator, then choose Refocus's limit break. Just make sure you've equipped the Refocus Matter
There are 12 types of Magic Matter (you need to use them, just finish a fight to receive AP to all the Matter you have equipped with all the members of the party. An easy way to upgrade them is to load chapter 9 and repeat the challenges of the classic difficulty Coliseum.
