Talismans of Peace in Genshin Impact are earned by completing challenges in Theater Mechanicus.
The Theater Mechanicus is the new activity associated with the Lantern Rite event in Genshin Impact, and you unlock it once you've completed the first Lantern Rite story quest, followed by the Theater Mechanicus intro quest. This activity costs no resin, but instead uses Xiao Lanterns to participate (you can read how to craft them in our guide here). Once you have Xiao Lanterns in hand, you can complete the different stages and challenges of the Theater Mechanicus. Keep in mind that these Xiao tokens are spent regardless of whether you pass or fail in the Theater Mechanicus, so be sure to stock up a few beforehand.
Theater Mechanicus is a tower defense minigame where your attacks do no damage and your elemental explosion cannot be used. However, you can use your EleFmental skills to set up powerful elemental combos with towers, or just knock back enemies. There are several stages and difficulties in Theater Mechanicus, each unlocked by increasing your reputation as a Lantern Rite Festive Fever by completing the Lantern Rite Tales side quests.
There are three different challenge pages for the Theater Mechanicus activity in Genshin Impact - each related to one of the three Lantern Rite Festive Fever reputations - and completing those challenges will reward you with Peace Talismans. Some are as simple as completing any stage on difficulty 1, while others can task you with defeating all monsters in a stage on more difficult difficulties. Since character levels and equipment don't matter much in Theater Mechanicus, these challenges can be overcome by anyone who wants to master the mechanics of Theater Mechanicus.
If you want to claim every item offered in the Lantern Rite Event Store a free “Stand By Me” character, you'll want to complete as many Theater Mechanicus challenges as possible, if not all of them. You will need at least 1000 Peace Talismans to grab a free character, which all Genshin Impact players should take advantage of.
