Genshin Impact Version 1.2 patch notes are quite long, but there are a few highlights to mention. Most obvious is the addition of the new Dragonspine area, nestled between Mondstadt and Liyue. Perilous Peaks will welcome the dangerous "Sheer Cold" mechanic, which will build up over time as travelers are exposed to the cold. Another change worth mentioning up front is Resin's removal from the new event, The Chalk Prince and the Dragon. How to update the game
PC: close the game, reopen the launcher and click Update.
iOS: Go to the App Store and tap Update.

- New Mechanic - Subzero Climate: Characters in Subzero Climate in Dragonspine will continuously accumulate Sheer Cold. When Sheer Cold reaches her limit, they will start to lose health.
New Dragonspine Feature - Frostbearing Tree

"Stellar Reunion" Return Event: Return to Teyvat and get the Prototype Rancor sword!

- Floor 11: Your character will periodically experience a engulfing storm, which continually drains your elemental energy until the inflicted electro is removed. Everyone in the group has a Cryo DMG boost.
- Floor 12: All group members have increased Geo DMG.

- New gadget: Kamera - Once equipped, travelers can take snapshots. Obtained through the world quest "Snapshots".
