GreedFall is a role-playing game that you can categorize as a semi-open world. The game consists of several areas of different sizes, ranging from towns and cities to more rural areas. Running from the loading screen to the loading screen is a bit of a pain. Fortunately, the game has a fast travel system.
GreedFall - How to travel fast
You can travel quickly in GreedFall between fast travel points. You must be at a fast moving point to start the process. You cannot travel quickly from just anywhere.
You can find quick travel points at your residences in different cities. Travel points are located around the map, at the intersection of all maps, and allow you to explore the coach areas in multiple locations. You can also set up camps, all of which can be used for quick trips. There is good overall coverage of the different areas of the game. The more you explore, the faster travel points you will discover.
When you want to travel fast, head to a fast travel point on the map and interact with it. It will usually appear in the game as a globe in cities, a bonfire in your camp, or a standing stone in native villages.
When you interact with it, the map opens and shows you all the important places of your trip thanks to the fast travel system. By hovering over the site, you can see one of your active quests in the area. Clicking on the location brings up a list of available fast travel points, and the closest fast travel point to your current mission is highlighted.
This mechanism is fundamental. You should always make sure that the assignment you are traveling for is set as Tracked Mission in your journal. It makes it so much easier to work in the right place.
