Customs is one of the main industrial zones in Tarkov. The industrial park is near the factory and has a lot of important infrastructure, including fuel storage facilities, a freight train terminal, offices, dormitories and several unfinished structures. This is a great map for newbie players to gain experience and get a good feel for how Tarkov works. There's also a fair amount of good loot in central and boss buildings. This guide will describe the different areas of interest, the boss, some popular loot points, keys, and mining points available.



General arrangement

Customs is a beginner friendly card that is much easier to learn than most other Tarkovs. This map is not good for snipers, there are a lot of buildings and the few decent sniper positions have little cover to use. Most battles will take place at mid-range or close range. The main buildings in the center of the map tend to attract a lot of players due to their loot and quest locations, leaving the rest of the map open enough for new players to explore and try to get wet. the feet. Each customs clearance begins with a delay of 35 minutes.

The map is divided into two sides, the customs side to the west and the boiler side to the east. A river cuts the map at the western end, separating the two sides of the map. There is also a main road that crosses the entire map from the northwesternmost point on the customs side to the easternmost point on the boiler side. There are four bridges that cross the river, a makeshift bridge on the north side of the river, the main bridge just south of the makeshift bridge, and two land bridges south of the main bridge. There is loose loot all along the main deck in cars and abandoned buildings at either end. Main and makeshift bridges tend to be a bit busier than land crossings, and some players throw them with a sniper rifle to eliminate anyone crossing them.



On the west side of the map are the train stations, storage area, trailer park, and customs warehouse also known as “Big Red”. Train stations are located at the northern and southern points of the map. The storage area is located on the westernmost region of the map. The trailer park is south of the storage area, and the customs warehouse is right in the middle of the customs side of the map.

East of the river is the boiler side of the map. The central area of ​​the map contains the dorms to the north with Factory Huts and Warehouse 17 to the south. Two sniper scavs usually spawn in the factory and warehouse area. One will be on top of tall distillation towers that are inaccessible to players, and the other will be on top of a construction site opposite Warehouse 17.

The easternmost region of the map is heavily forested to the north, with the gas station and substation being the only significant man-made areas. South of the main road is a shipyard, a factory and the old gas station.

Customs - Big Red

The customs side of the map is a busy area. The area is guarded by scavs and popular with gamers. If you appear on the customs side of the map, don't run straight down the road. There are several spawn points along the route that other players will target in hopes of a quick death, head to the storage area instead. The area is divided between the trailer park, a storage area and Big Red. The trailer park at the south end has a bus. Once you get on the bus, you can find a key on one of the seats that unlocks East Wing 310 on Shoreline. The storage area has a lot of loose loot including crates of weapons and medicine like Salewa. Lots of players like to jump on the roofs of storage buildings and use a scoped weapon to hit other players roaming the area, especially players roaming around Big Red.



East of the storage area is the main customs area marked by the large warehouse called Big Red. There are two blue buildings at the ends of the Big Red campus. These blue buildings can have loose loot. Inside Big Red itself is loose loot as well as a safe and weapon crate. Big Red's top-level room requires a key that can be found on scavs, filing cabinets, or the flea market. The upper level bedroom also has a key for Shoreline.

If you cross the river from the south land bridge, you will come across the RUAF roadblock. If you pass the roadblock against the wall and kiss it to the north, you will pass between a fence and a building. There are bushes in this area with a dead scav. If you collect the scav, you can find the unknown key needed for a quest. You can also walk through the fence to enter the building, but this entrance is not recommended. If you enter through the fence you will find yourself in a bottleneck which is often near a few scav patrol routes, use one of the other entrances on the site instead.

There are a few buildings of note on the construction site but the main draw is the combat. The yard is heavily guarded by scavs who can have some decent loot if you're willing to grab several. The areas between buildings are easy chokepoints for players and scavs, so be extra careful when moving between them. It is tempting to use the construction sites dotted around the area as sniper or reconnaissance positions. One of the buildings actually has a scav sniper appearing, but ultimately shooting is not recommended in this area due to the lack of coverage at these construction sites. A sniper can get a few good shots, but will quickly be targeted by any scav or player in the area.

At the western end of the construction site is Warehouse 17. The warehouse is mostly a scav extraction point and a good landmark. At the north end of the construction site are factory huts that can hold loot. Across the main road north of construction is a bus terminal with a bunch of abandoned buses parked, but there isn't much loot in this area worth mentioning. Finally, at the southeast end of the site are a pair of inaccessible distillation towers where a scav sniper can spawn.

Station-essence

Just east of the building is a gas station. This station can have a good miscellaneous loot, including a medical bag. Be sure to search the vehicles in and around the station as they may have loose loot. There is a van near the gas pumps with its rear doors open, a key can be found which is used for a quest on the exchange.

Inside the gas station is a back hallway, you will need two keys to open the doors. The first will be a cabinet key that can be found on dead scavs and in drawers. The cabinet key will unlock the farthest door. Inside the wardrobe is a safe. The second key needed is a storage key, it can be found on scavs or under the desk in the cabinet. The storage room in the gas station has a medbag and a medcase.

The gas station also has four cash registers and plenty of good loose loot and medicine, but he's most notable as one of the spawn points for the Reshala Map Boss. There is a roadblock outside the station which includes a bus. The bus may have a very valuable Goshan crate key on one of its seats. The Goshan Key is used for a quest and to unlock the cash registers in the Goshan store during the exchange, but can be sold for a lot of rubles in the flea market.

North-east of the gas station is an electrical substation. The substation usually has medical loot, a weapon crate, and magazines. Loot aside, the substation and the hills surrounding it make for one of the best sniper positions on the map. The hills can be used to set up an ambush for Reshala and all the other scavs in the area.

Dormitories

This is probably the most popular area on the map. There are two buildings in the northernmost area of ​​the map north of the construction and the bust terminal. Each building has many unlockable rooms and includes multiple levels. Several quests lead to the dorms and there is a lot of loot to be found in the area. If you get into the dorms, prepare for close combat and PVP with a little mid-range combat. Many of the dorms are locked and require keys. The majority of the keys can be found on scavs or bought at the flea market.

To enter the two-story dorms, you can enter by using the stairs to the second floor on the side of the building. There are boxes with weapon crates in almost every room and lots of loose loot all over the building, but several rooms require keys. There are also several binders that should be looted as they can have a lot of really good loose loot inside. Even though filing cabinets seem tedious, the loot inside can at least be sold if it's not useful.

On the first floor there is an old sofa with a gym bag that should be looted. There is a bathroom on the first floor with the door closed. Once you make your way to the showers on your right, there will be a corpse with the key to the guard office in its hand. The key to the guards office unlocks the room at the front of the building near the sofa with the duffel bag. The Guard Room can have a weapon spawn, a weapon crate, and a few ammo crates.

Outside the parking lot dormitories are a few cars that can be looted. There is a grenade crate in the trunk of the white sedan that should be looted. These grenades should definitely be used if you plan on chasing the boss. The boss can spawn in this area, and grenades are great for rounding up his followers and alerting you to their location. You can also use the grenades to kill the boss and his followers if they are in the hallways by passing them through the windows and in the hallways after the dormitories. You might not be able to kill them all, but you might be able to kill one or two of the Followers, which can be a bit nasty.

The three-story dorm is not too different from the two-story dorm. There is a ton of loose loot all over the building that can be found in duffel bags, crates, boxes, vests, and filing cabinets. On the roof is a crate of weapons that can be looted. There are several locked doors throughout the building, but keys can be found on dead scavs and in filing cabinets on the map. Locked rooms can have weapon crates, weapon vaults, medbags, and a lot of other great loot you can't pass up. If you happen to find a key, hold it. If it turns out it's a double of the one you already have, you can probably sell it on the flea market for a nice sum.

The most notable room of all the dorm rooms is the marked room on the top floor of the three-story dorms. The door is down the hall with a bunch of candles nearby and has lots of white markings on the walls surrounding it. This room has a ground circle like Woods' that can spawn any high level item available in the game. The key can be found in vests or on dead scavs. This key is unique because it can only be used 25 times and is required to obtain the Ragman Crash Ax item.

To the east and west of the dorms are small campsites which should be looted if you get the chance. They can have various loot bags and duffel bags. Going up to dormitories from campsites can also give you a good view of buildings and nearby players or scavs before entering the area.

Scav Checkpoint

East of the gas station and along the main road is the scav checkpoint. You need a key to get inside the building, but the cars around the checkpoint can hold drugs and loot. This area is near a scav patrol and one of the sniper scavs. Occasionally, Reshala and his supporters will patrol this area. This area can be dangerous, but the medical loot will be worth investigating. The checkpoint is also a good reference point on the map and a safe area for scav players.

Shipping yard

The shipyard is across the street, south of the gas station and scav checkpoint. This is a large area with several warehouses and bunkers to explore. The two bunkers are at the southern end of the shipyard and serve as extraction points. The warehouses have a lot of loot and a few crates of weapons, but there are several scavs patrolling the area. The region is also popular among players who have appeared on the customs side of the map due to multiple extraction points. Some players like to camp on the tracks or in the bushes in the area to pick up other players in the direction of the extraction points.

There are more warehouses on the east side of the shipyard with loose loot and weapon crates along with a few keys. Two loot slots of note are a van and a wagon. In the west parking lot, there is a blue van. There are a few computers inside that may have flash drives. Flash drives are needed for a quest and can be sold for a fair amount of money on the flea market. To the south of the van is an abandoned train car with an open side panel, a duffel bag, and the key to dormitory 220 may appear in the car.

Old gas station

This is the southernmost area of ​​the map. It can be reached by the shipyards by heading to the southeast corner. It is a spawn location for scavs and the AI ​​can be very dangerous but there is a lot of loot that is worth attacking. When you first enter the area it's a van to the right where scavs can spawn, dead in front is a bunch of tires next to sandbags. There is a crate of weapons near the sandbags which serves as loot. Inside the old station is a major loot point. Like the circle on Woods, there is an object spawning above the first table you see that can spawn almost any object in the game at random. If it's available, there's a snippet at the bottom. Outside the gas station and past the blue fence to the west, there is rubble with a concrete bottle. A medical bag may appear inside the rubble that is worth picking up.

Scavs

The scavs on this map are fairly standard with only a few notable exceptions. There are five scav snipers scattered along the southern and eastern sides of the map.

  • On the easternmost side of the map, a sniper crosses the main road in the wooded area just north of the extraction point at the east end of the road.
  • There is another sniper near one of the areas frequented by the boss. The sniper spawns just north of the fork in the road as part of the scav checkpoint at the east end of the map.
  • Another sniper is in the shipyard. The scav appears on the roof of the eastern warehouse.
  • Another scav sniper appears atop one of the two distillation towers on the south side of the map. These towers are not accessible to players and can make this guy a bit of a pain if you get in range. The towers overlook some of the factory huts south of the bus depot.
  • The last sniper appears at the top of the yard opposite Warehouse 17.

The snipers are the only real problems besides the boss and his supporters. Sniper scavs can be used to complete The Tarkov Shooter questline as they tend to outnumber and spawn quite frequently.

Patron

The boss of customs is Reshala. It is mostly found around the dorms or the new gas station, but on rare occasions it ventures to the military checkpoint and tower just north of the new gas station. He has four heavily armed guards following him. Guards usually carry AKs modified with a variety of ammunition. The guards are heavily armored with level 2-6 vests and level 3-5 helmets with visors. The guards are very aggressive and will try to rush you instead of taking cover. Reshala, on the other hand, will do the opposite. As a rule, he will stay well behind his guards and attempt to attack players when he is hidden. Reshala himself isn't terribly dangerous compared to some of the other bosses in the game, his followers being the main issue.

The best way to kill Reshala and her followers is to kill the boss first. Reshala doesn't usually wear a lot of armor. He can be easily spotted because of the brown sweater he wears, which is in stark contrast to the rest of his followers. Kill him with a headshot or multiple chest hits. Once Reshala is out of range, you can focus on the real danger his followers pose without having to worry about him tagging you from around the corner.

For adepts, you must wear grenades and wear level 4 or better armor and a helmet with a visor. The followers are very aggressive but they tend to get closer. Better armor will help protect you when they rush you. Attract them to an enclosed space such as inside dormitories. The layout of the dorms allows you to reposition and change levels very easily. When they start to get close, you can use grenades to kill them quite easily. Even if you don't kill the partisans with a grenade, you can still use it to chase them from hiding places or gather them in a better position for you to shoot. It doesn't matter what keeps moving. Followers will continually try to get closer to your position, if you end up getting stuck by them there is only a low chance of surviving. Make sure to watch your corners as you move so you won't be surprised.

When Reshala and his followers are dead, loot them as quickly as possible and get out of the area. Customs are a popular card and Reshala and her gang are part of a quest and have some really good loot. Lots of players will chase after him and most will have no problem sneaking up on you and killing you after already working hard for them. Take whatever you want and get out or you'll probably be picked up by another player who wants to loot the boss.

Extraction points

The extraction of this card is quite unique but very simple. You need to extract from the side of the map opposite to where you spawned. If you appeared on the customs side of the map, you must extract the boiler side and vice versa.

  1. Carrefour (ALL) - The Crossroads Snippet can be found in the westernmost corner of the customs side of the map northwest of the Storage Yard. The point of extraction is quite easy to spot. There is a large wall with the words "stop" and "untar go home" written in big white letters. The area around the wall is the extraction point.
  2. Old gas station (ALL) - This location is inside the old gas station in the southernmost area on the boiler side of the map. The station is accessible from the southwest wall of the shipyard. The extraction point for PMC players is inside the old gas station and down the stairs. The Scav extraction point is just a little further south of the station and across the blue fence. Scavs are extracted through the big red gate of the railroad. This excerpt is not always available. it is only available if there is a green torch emitting smoke in front of the station.
  3. RUAF Roadblock (TOUS) -This extraction point is not always available. it's at the south end of the boiler side of the map, just east of the river, across the south land bridge. This extraction point is next to a green truck with the words "Welcome to Tarkov" painted white on the side. Behind the truck is a large wall with a searchlight on top. The wall is the extraction point but only if the light is on. If the light is not on, extraction is not available. This extraction point is currently buggy, so it appears to be triggering, but you won't actually be mined when the timer hits zero. Check the light first before trying to extract, don't just assume it's available as the timer pops up.
  4. Vehicle exit from dormitories (PMC) - This extraction point is behind the dormitories and to the north. You will see a black van waiting inside the door in the wall. You will have to pay 7000 rubles to use the extract. Once you have paid the driver, the recharge time is one minute. Hide in the nearby bushes to avoid getting caught during the long wait, then return to the car for the last 10-15 seconds to leave. This extraction point is single-use and can be used by up to four players at a time, making it a great extract for the holidays. Once it has been used, it cannot be used again during this raid.
  5. Smuggler's Boat (PMC) - This extraction point is located on the northeast bank of the river separating the customs from the boiler. It can be found north of the makeshift bridge on the boiler side of the map. There is a fire with a lot of smoke visible and a small boat on the shore that can be used as an extract. This extraction point is not always available, so look for smoke from the campfire if you are heading into the area. If there is no smoke, the boat will not be there.
  6. Trailer park (PMC) - Down the road from the junction extract and south of the storage yard is a trailer park. The trailer for the trailer can be found in the southwest corner of the map. The mining area is in tall trees in the corner of the map.
  7. ZB-1011 (PMC) - This bunker is on the most southeastern area of ​​the map near the boilers where the boiler side gets its name. It's at the end of the southernmost route on the map inside the shipping and boiler areas. It's east of a warehouse and slightly northeast of an inaccessible nuclear power plant that's off the map.
  8. ZB-1012 (PMC) - This extract is a bunker inside the shipyard. It sits east of the entrance to the old gas station area, near a wall that descends into the middle of the shipyards. This excerpt is not always available. Like the RUAF roadblock, there is a searchlight above the bunker that must be turned on for the bunker to be available.
  9. Administration door (SCAV) - This snippet can be found along the easternmost end of the main road that crosses the map. It sits inside the boiler wall directly north of the far corner extract from the plant.
  10. Far Far Corner (SCAV) -This point is in the most south-eastern corner of the map in the boiler area. This one is hard to miss, head southeast until you find a toilet in the corner of the wall behind some trees.
  11. Factory cabins (SCAV) - This point is in the construction area to the northeast inside the wall in front of the bus station. There are two cabins that look like shipping containers stacked on top of each other. They are near a new construction site in the area. The extract can be found on the east side of the cabins.
  12. Military base checkpoint (SCAV) - This location is in the northeast area of ​​the map. The main road branches off to the left at the scav checkpoint. Follow it north to the northern border wall. The snippet is a door in the wall a little after the actual military checkpoint.
  13. Old Road Gate (SCAV) - This extraction point is at the same location as a PMC extract. It's behind the dorms directly to the north. The extraction point is in the same door as the black van that PMC players can use to extract but costs nothing to use.
  14. Passage between rocks (SCAV) - This location is northeast of the gas station and north of the electrical substation towards the northern border wall. Just west of the current passage through the rocks is a large boulder with a small expanse of fence extending between it and another set of boulders. This little piece of fence is the extract.
  15. Military Base Railway (SCAV) - This extraction point is located north of the new gas station and northwest of the electrical substation. You can get there easily from the shipyard by following the railway from the bridge that crosses the main road. The railway leads north to the extraction point. The extraction point is a train wreck inside a door in the north wall.
  16. Railway in Tarkov (SCAV) -The snippet can be found at the southern end of the customs side of the map, just west of the river. You can access this extraction point by following the train tracks south to the south wall. The extraction point is against the south fence near the train. There's an abandoned train running through the customs side of the map, this snippet is on the back of it. This same railroad heads north to another Scav extraction point. If you are a scav player looking to check out on the customs side, just follow the railroad and you will get there shortly.
  17. Railway to the port (SCAV) -This extraction point is at the northeast end of customs, just west of the river. This is another high traffic area with a lot of people crossing by crossing the sides of the map. An abandoned train crosses the customs side of the map. To use this extraction, you need to head to the front of the train that is to the north. At the front of the train is a door in the wall, the door is the extraction point. The same railroad as the train leads to another part of Scav to the south. If you need to get out quickly, just follow the tracks all the way and eventually you'll get a snippet.
  18. Scavs Control Point (SCAV) - This point is at the easternmost point of the main road that crosses the map. This is a roadblock just past the scav checkpoint with several United Nations vehicles parked nearby. This area is covered by a few sniper scavs that can help protect it if you're friendly to them or will take your head off if you've done scav-on-scav violence.
  19. Sniper Roadblock (SCAV) - This extraction point is in a high traffic area, so you have to be very careful when moving there. It is east of the river and against the north wall on a road between two wooded areas. There are a few blue shipping containers stacked on top of each other and a tin hut leading to the extraction point. The snippet itself looks like a roadblock set in the north wall.
  20. Trailer Park Workers 'Shack (SCAV) -This snippet can be found at the southern end of the customs side of the map. The cabin is next to a bus in the trailer park with phone wires above it. The extraction point is near the south fence in front of a blue shipping container.
  21. Warehouse 17 (SCAV) -This extraction point is in the construction area. This area has a lot of players moving around so be careful. Warehouse 17 is in the western part of the area, opposite the construction site, where the scav sniper spawns on the roof. The extract is easily spotted thanks to the building next to it. The building next to the snippet is white brick with a large angry red ball graffiti on the south side right next to the actual extraction point. The actual extraction point is a red overhead door with a lot of graffiti including PAC-MAN near the top.
  22. Warehouse 4 (SCAV) - Warehouse 4 is located in the shipping yard south of the new gas station. The warehouse is located at the western end of the shipyard and inside the walls. The extraction point is the north wall of the warehouse.
