As you surely know, due to the ban issued by the United States government, Huawei unfortunately found itself having to eliminate relations with various American companies. Among the most important is obviously Google, owner of the software installed on smartphones and tablets of the Chinese company and above all of the services capable of making some of the most popular applications in the world work correctly. In this guide, however, we will focus only on Instagram, trying to understand how install it on Huawei devices with and without Play Store.
Before starting
As always, before going into the guide, let's try to understand what actually cannot be used on new Huawei devices and why Instagram is not part of the list.
Despite owning Google-owned software, Android is nonetheless "Open source" and therefore usable by anyone, in any area of the world and on any technological device. The United States ban only concerns the Google services, which are the basis of apps such as: Gmail, Google Maps, Google Translate, YouTube and, above all, Play Store.
The lack of the latter therefore makes installing Instagram more difficult than on its part has no need for the aforementioned services and can run perfectly even on Huawei smartphones. That said, let's see how to overcome the problem and download the app of the most used social network in the world even on the Chinese company's smartphones.
Download Instagram on Huawei with Play Store
Despite the latest Huawei devices lacking Google services, some older smartphones may still possess all the rights and therefore also the privileges offered by the Play Store.
In the event that the Play Store app was present on the device in question, you can safely use it to download Instagram and subsequently update it without any limitation.
- Open the Play Store
- Click on the search bar at the top
- To research "Instagram" and select its icon from the list that appears
- Click on the button "Install" to the right of the icon and wait for the download to complete
At the end of the operation, the installation will take place automatically and you will be able to use the Instagram application without problems.
Download Instagram on Huawei without Play Store
If, on the other hand, the smartphone does not have the Play Store, it will necessarily be necessary to go to a third-party store. For convenience, we will take advantage of Amazon's, which is very complete and quick to release updates.
- Open the app "Settings" on the Huawei smartphone
- Continue with "Safety"
- click "Other settings"
- Activate the voice "Install apps from external sources" selecting the preferred browser from which to download the Amazon digital store
- Access the website dedicated to the download of the store by clicking on this link (use the same browser indicated above in the settings)
- click "Download Amazon Appstore"
- Accept the APK installation by clicking on "OK", Then "You open", Then "Install" and finally up again "You open"
At this point, the Amazon store will automatically start, in which you will need to log in with your Amazon account or, possibly, create a new one.
Once logged in, all you need to do is use the search bar at the top to search for Instagram, click on the button "Install" to the right of its icon and wait for the download to finish.
