How to get the Amalgam Barrel Diffusion in Warframe

How to get the Amalgam Barrel Diffusion in Warframe

Amalgam Barrel Diffusion is a Warframe hybrid mod that grants bonuses to Multishot Pistol and dodge speed. When used in a build, you won't be able to use the standard Barrel Diffusion mod with it.

This mod can only be obtained by obtaining 50 points during the Thermia Fractures event on Orb Vallis. This event is not permanent, but it is quite common at the moment. The event involves killing the coolant Raknoids and using their parts to seal the Thermia fractures on Orb Vallis. Each fracture you seal is worth 1 point, although refilling a cartridge you get with Raknoids coolant earns you 7 points. You will need to reach 50 points to unlock the Amalgam Barrel Diffusion mod.

The Amalgam Barrel Diffusion mod offers the following advantages:

    • Rang 0 + 18% Multishot, +10% Dodge Speed
    • Rang 1 + 37% Multishot, +20% Dodge Speed
    • Rang 2 + 55% Multishot, +30% Dodge Speed
    • Rang 3 + 73% Multishot, +40% Dodge Speed
    • Rang 4 + 91% Multishot, +50% Dodge Speed
    • Rang 5 + 110% Multishot, +60% Dodge Speed

Amalgam Barrel Diffusion is currently not considered a powerful mod in the game. It gives less Multishot bonus than the standard Barrel Diffusion mod, while dodge speed is considered a dead stat for virtually all Warframes in the game. The only Warframe that benefits from this is Limbo, as it allows him to make his dodge change faster in the Void.

However, it does give the dodge speed the advantage of just being on your pistol. You don't need to have the gun in your hand to get the bonus. It has a high mod capacity draw, with a maximum of 15 draws at rank 5.

While you can't use Amalgam Barrel Diffusion, it's still worth making available, as a future patch might make it into something more valuable for Tenno's discernment.
