The Destiny 2 arrivals season brought with it a new Pulse Rifle, the Cold Denial. The Cold Denial is a high impact framed weapon, which allows it to shoot slowly and strike hard. It also has increased accuracy when you're not moving and aiming down.
You will get your first Cold Denial when you reach Rank 45 in the Season Pass. This is a free tier reward, so you don't have to pay any money to get your hands on it. Just grind the levels until you hit rank 45, and you will get cold denial.
The Season Pass version will be discontinued with the following benefits:
- Smallbore
- Flared Magwell
- Zen moment
- Head researcher
After that, the Cold Denial will enter your Umbral Engram loot pool, and you can get it with new Umbral Engrams rolls, just like any other legendary weapon. Thanks to the Prismatic Recaster which you can access this season, you will be able to concentrate your Umbraux Engrams. Turning them into Pyramid-focused Shadow Engrams should reduce the weapons you can get from a loot pool that contains Cold Denial.
At Rank 30, you'll gain access to the Falling Guillotine Sword, and once you've got the Cold Refusal, you can start focusing your engrams on finish-focused Shadow Engrams. These will only drop the Cold Pulse Rifle or the Falling Guillotine, making this a very easy way to manage roles for both weapons.
