Preliminary operation

If you haven't done so yet, go to the main YouTube page, click the button Log in located at the top right, select yours Google account (if you don't have an account yet, you can take a look at my guide on how to create a Google account), enter the password in the field Enter your password and press pulsating NEXT.
Now, click on yours photo located at the top right (or on the icon of thelittle man, if you have not customized your account) and choose the item My channel from the menu that opens. In the new screen that appears, click on the button Create channel to create your YouTube channel using your first and last name, otherwise choose the option Use a company name or another type, enter its name in the field Nome dell'account of the brand and click on the button Crea.
You prefer to proceed from smartphone o tablet? In that case, you should know that through theapps on YouTube for Android and iOS devices it is possible to create a new YouTube channel using only your name and surname.
To do so, start the YouTube app and log in with your Google account (if you haven't done so yet), then tap your photo (top right), choose the item My channel, award-winning Create channel And that's it. To learn more, I leave you to my guide on how to create a YouTube account.
Become a moderator of a YouTube channel
become a moderator of a YouTube channel, first of all it is necessary to be appointed as a collaborator of the channel of your interest. By doing so, the moderator can delete inappropriate comments which, subsequently, the channel owner can view and choose whether to permanently delete or restore.
Be appointed moderator
be appointed moderator of a YouTube channel it is necessary to make arrangements with the owner of the channel in question. If you succeed in this, the channel owner will be able to add you as a moderator from the section Creator Studio YouTube by inserting the URL of your channel in it.
First, then, connected to the main YouTube page and, if you have not already done so, click on the item Log in (top right), in order to log into your account. On the newly opened page, select yours Google account, enter the Password in the ready field and the pulsating prize NEXT.
Now, click on yours photo located at the top right (or on the icon of thelittle man, if you have not customized your account), select the item My channel from the menu that appears and copies theURL displayed in the address bar of the browser (in this regard, my guide on how to copy a link may be useful).
At this point, all you have to do is contact again the owner of the channel you want to become the moderator of and communicate the address of your YouTube channel (the one you copied just now). To simplify things, if you have previously added the user in question as a YouTube friend, you can send him a private message directly using the famous video sharing platform.
To do so, click on the button Messages (l'icona della arrow inside a speech bubble) located at the top right, choose the option Friends and press the icon of three dots present next to the contact of your interest, then choose the item Chat with [name], enter your YouTube channel URL in the field write a message and press the button Submit keypad to send your message. At this point, the owner of the YouTube channel of which you want to become a moderator, has to do is enter the address of your channel in the section Community of his YouTube channel: to do so, he will have to click on his photo at the top right, select the item Creator Studio from the menu that appears and, in the newly opened page, choose the items Community e Community settings present in the sidebar on the left.
Finally, in the section Automatic filters, will have to locate the item Moderators, enter the URL of the channel you previously communicated to him in the field Paste the channel URL of the new moderator and click on the button Save, per salvare I modified it.
Alternatively, if the user of the channel you want to become a moderator use YouTube Studio, to add a new moderator will have to click on the item Settings present in the left sidebar and select the option Community, after which he will have to choose the card Automatic filters, enter the URL of your YouTube channel in the field Add moderator and click on the button Save.
If, on the other hand, you are wondering if it is possible to add a new moderator to your YouTube channel from smartphones and tablets, I am sorry to tell you that this feature is not available on any YouTube application.
However, the owner of a channel who intends to appoint a moderator, can connect to the YouTube website using the browser of their device (ex. Chrome your android e Safari on iOS) and request it desktop version. Pressing, then, on the icon of three dots in alto a destra e scegliendo l'opzione Request desktop site, you can appoint a moderator by following the procedure described above for adding a moderator from a computer.
Moderate comments
All you need to do to moderate comments and delete those you deem inappropriate, is to access the section Video of the channel you are moderator of, click on movie of your interest and locate the section Comments present under the YouTube player. The procedure is identical both from a computer and from smartphones and tablets (using the YouTube app).
Once you have found the comment you want to delete, click on the icon three dots mail in his correspondence, choose the option Remove from the menu that opens and that's it. It will be useful to know that comments deleted by a moderator will no longer be publicly visible but will not be permanently deleted. In fact, the channel owner will be able to view the deleted comments by accessing the section YouTube Creator.
If you are the owner of a YouTube channel, you have appointed a moderator and you want to view the comments that the latter has deleted, connected by computer to the main YouTube page, click on your photo (top right) and choose the option YouTube Creator from the menu that appears, then choose the item Community and go to the card Pending review.
If, on the other hand, you want to proceed from a smartphone or tablet, start the YouTube Studio app for Android or iOS, tap the button ≡ located at the top left, choose the option Post comments , tap on the item Comments posted e seleziona l'opzione Pending review.
Now, regardless of the device you are using, click on the icon basket to permanently delete a comment, otherwise press the ✓ button to show it again in the public comments.
Participate in the YouTube contributors program
As mentioned in the introductory paragraphs of this guide, YouTube has created a program, called YouTube contributors, with which he wants to reward and support the global community of collaborators, that is, users who voluntarily answer the questions of other users on the YouTube and YouTube Music assistance forums and on the various support channels.
If you are interested in the subject, it will be useful to know that the only requirements necessary to submit your application to participate in the program in question is to have an active YouTube account and to have created a valid YouTube channel.
Therefore, if you want to participate in the program, connected to the main page of YouTube Collaborators, enter your email address in the field Enter your email address, if you wish, enter your Twitter username in the field Submit your Twitter username, place a check mark next to the option YouTube Contributors may contact me with updates on my application and click on the button Join waitlist, to send your question.
It will be useful to know that the program is still in beta and you will only receive an answer if your request is accepted. If so, in order to continue participating in the program and reap its benefits (e.g. access to exclusive workshops or a preview of any new YouTube features) you will need to be active on a regular basis and abide by the rules of the YouTube Contributor program.
