How to play as Kayi in Rocket Arena

Rocket Arena has several things in common with the popular Super Smash Bros. series. On the one hand, characters accumulate yards of damage and then fly out of the arena once they hit a certain threshold. The fights are built around wacky and chaotic abilities. But above all else, Rocket Arena has a version of Ice Climbers that's really cool: Kayi.

Head kick with Kayi

Kayi is an exceptionally versatile character to play. She has a unique blend of speed and power that makes her an excellent forward attacker. If you are heading into an arena with a lot of verticality, this is an especially good option as it can easily use the height to its advantage. She's also quick and has a decent jump which, put in conjunction with her abilities, can be put to good use.

  • Loaded bolt
    • Kayi's main rocket. It can fire fairly quickly if needed, but rockets have an arc towards them, so you will need to be conscientious of where you are aiming. However, loaded bolts become really useful when loaded. If you hold down the main rocket button for about two seconds, Kayi will charge her rocket. It will fly faster and straighter and deliver an even bigger punch. This is ideal for long range and close range combat.
  • Grapple hook
    • Kayi's special ability. As you have probably guessed, this is a grappling hook and can be used to move around the map quickly. It's especially useful in arenas with a lot of verticality, as you can pull yourself to hard-to-reach places and then rain terror from above (or when slowly drifting down to the ground). He needs to really get hooked on something, so make sure you think about what you are aiming for with your grappling hook.
    • You can also shoot your opponents directly with the grappling hook, but it doesn't do more damage than a normal shot and you'll have to wait for it to cool down before you can use it again.
  • Snow Ball
    • Kayi's secondary ability. This one is a game-changer and elevates Kayi to a really useful offensive option. Deploying a snow globe will create a bubble that will slow all enemy rockets. It can be a godsend when you and your team are in a tough spot and can do wonders to save everyone. If you fire rockets inside the bubble, they will also go faster and hit harder as well.
    • The Snow Globe works best when you use it in conjunction with Kayi's other strengths. If you can get high in an arena, you can deploy a snow globe and levitate inside. It takes planning (and luck) to properly deploy a snow globe in a high position that you can reach, but if you can, then you can hover in truly unexpected places and cause chaos from above. .
    • The Snow Globe bubble lasts about ten seconds. Keep in mind, deploying it throws it some distance away from you, so it's best to throw it at your feet or know you can easily get to where it lands. This could be Kayi's secondary ability, but you should use it whenever possible

Strategies for Knockout / RocketBot Attack

Its Rocket Arena is the easiest mode, and using Kayi here is straightforward as well. Take her on the offensive and fly over the arena with your grappling hook to get into a good position and take down your opponents. Most skirmishes happen on the ground, so if you can get on top of it and get into a snow globe bubble, there's a good chance you can really tell the difference.

Strategies for Rocketball

Kayi is quick and flexible enough that she can move the ball quickly if you get there while playing with her. Unfortunately, she can't use her grappling hook when she's holding the ball, so it's not like you can throw yourself up and then take a long-range shot towards the goal. However, the best defense is a good offense and it can easily cause a headache for other players while the rest of your team are bringing the ball home.

Strategies for Mega Rocket

The Mega Rocket can get chaotic when everyone is crowding around the missile to try and capture the area, but if you use Kayi's Snow Globe to give your team some defense when hit, it can do a great deal. difference. That said, if everyone is crammed into the area, it's not as effective when other opponents are easily using abilities to hit you. Still, you can fight and eliminate your opponents from a distance if your other teammates can hold the zone.

Treasure hunting strategies

Holding the treasure chest while Kayi significantly reduces the effective way to combine her grappling hook with a snow globe, so she is best used as a support player during this phase. When it comes to collecting coins, however, she can be a beast if you use your grappling hook to move around and grab them quickly.

Whether you're good with her, her mobility, power, and ability to quickly fire heavy blows makes her a fun character to use. That and she has an Elsa dope cosplay.
