Preliminary information
Before explaining to you how to put youtube videos on instagram stories, I have to give you some preliminary information about it. In fact, you must know that, as anticipated before, it is not possible to directly share a YouTube video in the stories of Instagram. Therefore, the only possible solution to succeed in the intent is the one that concerns the manual upload of the movie in the stories of the popular photographic social network.
That said, just in case the YouTube is not in your possession, I will show you how to obtain it, through the procedure for registering the screen of your Android or iOS / iPadOS device. After that, I'll tell you how to upload the video to the stories of Instagram, via the social network app for Android and iPhone.
How to upload YouTube videos to Instagram stories
To find out how to succeed in uploading a video of YouTube in the stories of Instagram, keep reading the next lines - I'll tell you about how to use the screen recording tool on Android e iOS / iPadOS and how to upload the movie to the Instagram for smartphones and tablets (Android, on iPad it is not yet available but you can download the app for iPhone).
From Android
If you don't own the video of YouTube that you want to upload to the stories of Instagram, you can get it through the screen recording procedure.
Speaking of which, you need to know that, on Android, this operation can be carried out through the use of the native recording function, if available on your smartphone (as it is, for example, on the latest generation models). Alternatively, you can take advantage of third-party apps, such as ADV Screen Recorder, of which you can find more information in this tutorial of mine.
That said, if you have the feature in question, activating it is very simple: press the key combination (Volume Up + Power Off) or tap the appropriate icon (Record screen) which is located in Notification Center of Android (section that is visible by swiping from the top to the bottom of the screen).
At this point, play the video of YouTube and, at the end, press the button Stop, located at the top, to end the registration. By doing so, you will save the movie in the media gallery of your device (the app Gallery o Gallery).
Once you have the video, start the app Instagram, to load it into the stories: to proceed, after logging in to your account, press thecamera icon located in the upper right corner of the main screen.
Now that you have started the story creation tool, press themedia gallery icon located in the lower left corner, then select the video to import.
In case it is a movie longer than 15 seconds, press the button NEXT, after importing it, as it will automatically split into multiple stories.

From iPhone / iPad
If you own a iPhone (or even an iPad, as long as you have the Instagram iPhone app installed on it), you can use the native screen recording feature to quickly and easily get the YouTube video you want to share on Instagram.
However, keep in mind that the tool in question was introduced starting from iOS 11 and later and starting with iPadOS; therefore, you can only use it on iPhone models starting with iPhone 8 and starting from the models of XNUMXth generation iPad.
Having said that, to do so, access the Control Center by swiping from the top right corner down (up iPhone X and later models) or from bottom to top (on iPhone 8 / 8 Plus and previous models) and press the button Rec, to activate recording of the movie being played on YouTube.
When finished, tap on bar or the red dot at the top, then press the button Stop, to end the recording and, by doing so, save the video in the media gallery of your device (the app Gallery).
At this point, to load it into the stories of Instagram, launch the photo social network app, and log in to your account if necessary.
Now, press oncamera icon and, once you open the tool for creating stories on Instagram, premi sull 'media gallery icon, located in the lower left corner.
Once this is done, select the movie to import and press the button NEXT, in case it lasts more than 15 seconds, in order to import all the stories in which it will be automatically divided.

How to insert YouTube links on Instagram stories
You would like to insert a link to a video of YouTube in the stories of Instagram, so as to refer to the movie in question? In this case, I must first inform you that the possibility of inserting external links in the stories of the social network is reserved for corporate Instagram accounts that have at least 10000 followers.
That said, if your account meets the requirements, launch the Instagram, log in to your account and press thecamera icon, to start the story creation tool.
Then use the camera tools at your disposal to take a photo or record a video, then presses on thechain icon located in the upper right corner.
Now, in the screen that is shown to you, press onicon (+) Web Link and enter, in the appropriate text field, the link of the YouTube video you are interested in sharing. You can type it "by hand", or paste it, after having previously copied it.
To check that everything went well, press on the item See a preview and, if successful, press the button end, to confirm adding the link.
