How to read the Crash Bandicoot 4 demo: it's time

It is almost time. Everyone's favorite virtual marsupial will make its way to this new installment on PS4 and Xbox One, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, in just a few days. With the demo now live, many are wondering how they can get their first look at the game, as you won't be able to find it in the demos section of digital stores. Rather, there is a small catch that shouldn't be a problem for those who are ready to own the full game from day one.

Where to find the Crash 4 demo

Even though this is the talk of the city, the demo is not for everyone. To play, you will need to pre-order the title from the Playstation or Xbox Store. This will also give you the exclusive Totally Tubular skin for Crash and Coco when the game releases.

Once that's done, you can go to your console's digital game library and the demo should be among those listed. It won't take up too much space, as it costs around 9 GB for both consoles.

Levels and characters included

Those who can access the demo will have control of Neo Cortex and Crash on three levels. The first is “Snow Way Out,” where you'll get a first look at the Temporal Mask's abilities to prevent blocks of ice from falling on Crash. Crash is also playable in “Dino Dash,” a prehistoric themed map that also lets you try out the quantum mask when fighting a horrific T-Rex.

The playable Neo Cortex level is a modified version of "Snow Way Out", which would be slightly easier. With the wrong doctor, users can shoot his blaster to turn enemies into platforms, as well as jump into the air to cross long gaps.

The full version of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time will be released this fall on October 2 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
