A recent addition to the hero roster, Ishar the Apprentice Summoner, just released their guide (AoV Ishar guide) and the Arena of Valor tier list has been updated. Ishar is a new type of hero who, for the first time in this game, controls a pet.
At the mention of a pet, the immediate answer is: how do you control it and what does its AI look like? Lucky for us, Tencent / Timi Studios did a good job. There are no additional interface options, but by cleverly crafting the skills, they merged the pet controls with the hero skills. Its first skill (if you hit the enemy hero with it) will send Furball on a charge, and Skill 2 will order the animal to fall back and protect you. The AI is very good, so with a few rare exceptions, Furball acts well, attacks when needed, and retreats when you start to fall back.
Regarding Ishar's position on Bluemoongame's valuable arena list, after deliberation and discussion with some members of our community, she concludes that she is in the Epic (Tier 2) category. Here are the reasons behind it.
- Its skill set is comprehensive and well designed. Nothing she has is overkill, but everything is useful. She can adapt to various situations and can do most things (although she can't break out).
- She can't burst. Although his skills are good, unless the hero has numbers to back them up, he cannot be ranked in Rank 1 (Legendary). As it stands, Ishar is useful in harassing and controlling the enemy, but the lack of burst damage really hurt him. In prolonged team fights, that's okay, as she remains useful due to her controlled and consistent damage. However, in situations where you need to blow someone up in seconds (these situations are not uncommon), Ishar doesn't have much to offer.
Essentially, she's a type of hero who needs a long time to be hassled before a fight and that's not what a lot of teams can afford.
In well-coordinated teams (made up of good players), consider Ishar a legendary rank on the AoV tier list. However, in teams that require you to wear, consider Ishar only good.
Ishar's skills:
Passive (Furball)
Her passive is the ability to summon a pet, Furball. whose attributes exceed Ishar's power capacity.
1st Skill (Somnial Mushroom)
Ishar launches a line projectile that improves every two hits. When upgraded, it summons the mushroom behind target hero (this mushroom explodes after 2,5 seconds, which is a bit too long if you ask me). The second purpose of this ability is that when it hits the enemy hero, it sends Furball to charge them.
2nd skill (Somnial Shield)
It absorbs a certain amount of damage (scales with AP) and increases Ishar's movement speed. Additionally, when Furball is alive, he sends him back to Ishar, causing everyone to fall in the way.
The ultimate (dream circle)
She places a circle that activates after 0,5 seconds, trapping all enemies inside for 2,5 seconds.
