There are dozens of side quests and activities to complete in Genshin Impact. Many of them are not on the map, and you can find them freely as you explore the area, with no apparent path to follow. One of the random quests you can find is called Nine Pillars of Peace. You can activate it by standing in front of a stone and reading the inscription. Fortunately, this is not a long quest, but there are specific areas in the region that you need to travel to.
The stone is at the center of a large canyon surrounded by several lanterns. You can find it in the Cuijue Slope area.
You have to find the nine pillars. None of them appear on the map, even if you try to enable navigation in your quest log. Fortunately, they are not too far from the starting point. You can find the nine pillars that surround you. They look like large orange totem poles. To activate them, you must climb their flanks, locate the Shining Ruins and interact with them. The ruins should indicate Stone Encrusted with Remembrance.
However, to activate them all, you must use an item called Stone of Remembrance. You receive this by giving blessings to the Statues of Seven in Liyue, which is the geo-based region. You need nine Stones, so make sure you have nine Memory Stones before you attempt to complete this quest. Here are the nine pillar locations in the region.
After activating all the pillars, you can enter the temple and search the ruins. However, there will be a lot of creatures inside that you have to fight. You will first have to fight a Ruin Guard. Once you beat this you must fight a swarm of Geovishap hatchlings. The final battle is with a Ruin Hunter, which is stronger than the previous fights. You want to make sure you bring plenty of food with you to heal your party, improve their defenses, and attack and lower their stamina.
After completing the battle, open the chests now available. One of them will have a dull ring inside. Paimon will appear, suggesting that you find someone with an eye for antiques to sell him for a good profit. You must bring it back to Liyue Harbor and show it to Linlang, the owner of Xigu Antiques. She will offer to buy the Dull Ring for 200 Mora.
