To skip the Yeti subzone, you will have to reach the level exit to the ice caves at 4-2.
- Below the level output, there is always a Wide platform of 1 or 2 blocks.
- The level output will always be in a small cave. The cave will open naturally from left or right.
- Hang the small platform under the level exit - and hang on the side of the level exit cave that opens.
- Descend directly and you'll grab the ledge far below with the alternate level exit nearby.
It sounds complicated, but it is very simple. This strategy saves you from needing a cape, jetpack, or parachute to reach the alternate exit and escape the Yeti cave area.
The only downside is that bombs or other traps / enemies can destroy the blocks around the level exit, making it harder to tell which side has an opening, or just destroy the platform you are from. must fall.
