There has been a lot of confusion around the pre-load time of Star Wars: Squadrons. EA Motive's space combat title, set in the Star Wars universe, is one of the most anticipated games for October. Fans are gearing up for its October 2 launch, but many have been left confused by Electronic Arts' preload time change.
In a thread posted to the official Star Wars: Squadrons forum, players asked EA to confirm when preloading will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Screenshots from various forum users show why there was confusion, with the preload time going from midnight on September 25 to 23 p.m. on October 1 and again at 23 p.m. on September 30.
Finally, however, it looks like there is a confirmed preload date and time for Star Wars: Squadrons. In a pre-launch thread posted on the game's official Reddit page, moderator ScorchRaserik revealed when Squadrons could be pre-installed.
The pre-load date and time is September 30 at 23:59 p.m. ET. However, it doesn't say if the game can come pre-installed on PC, PS4, and Xbox One at this time, or if there is a staged version on every platform.
As there are no specific times or dates listed for other regions of the world, it is safe to assume that this preload date and time will be global for all platforms.
