Escape from Tarkov took over the gaming world in 2020, hitting sky-high numbers on live streaming sites and in-game. As such, a ton of new players are exploring the various maps for the first time.
One of the most popular cards, Interchange, hides a secret, as some players find out the hard way. If you ventured into the mall on Interchange and were knocked out immediately, chances are you've encountered the Scav boss, Killa.
Killa is one of the four Scav Bosses Escape from Tarkov. It is only found on exchange and deals an insane amount of damage. So it's only natural that every player wants their chance to defeat him. Here is where you can find Killa and the best way to eliminate him.
Location and strategy
Killa is on the first floor of the mall. When you see Mantis, Viking, or The National stores, you know you're near where Killa spawns. However, there is only a 38% chance that it will appear in any given raid.
If you do manage to meet him, try your best to stay out of his line of sight. It is equipped with an RPK-16 light machine gun and grenades, which means it can mow you from any range. If you have the funds, equip ammo that penetrates armor, such as 7,62 × 51 or 5,56 M995.
Staying behind the blanket and out of sight, start firing bullets while he has his back to you. If he turns around to retaliate, go back down behind the cover and move to another spot to repeat the process. However, he will follow you nimbly until he kills you, so move quickly.
If you don't have penetrating ammo, aiming for his legs is a great strategy but is risky as it takes longer to kill him. If you have a partner for this ambush, keep the same strategy as before but position yourself in different areas of cover. As Killa turns to shoot one of you, the other should take the opportunity to fire bullets at his armor.
With enough luck and precise hits, you'll eventually take out Killa. It will take some time, as it starts with 830 health.
