The modern variant was rewritten from scratch for one better integration with the Settings app which will very soon replace the much loved Control Panel, a collection of essential tools for advanced Windows users.
Unfortunately in the tool with renewed graphics many advanced functions and a fundamental one are still missing: it is not currently possible to resize partitions. In addition, the tool does not even graphically show the partitioning of the disks, which makes the management definitely less intuitive than the old program.

We remember that Microsoft has not yet publicly released the tool new generation for disk management and it is therefore possible that work is still in progress to equip it with all the fundamental functions that we have come to appreciate in the classic version.
As BleepingComputer recalls, the Redmond company will surely refine the program along the way and make it more useful and complete before forever removing the version accessible from the Control Panel in future versions of Windows 10.
