As Windows Latest reports, in the DCH 30.0.100.9684 GPU Driver Release Notes Intel clearly indicated Windows 11 as "Update October 2021 - version 21H2". Windows 11 was officially expected in the fall, and this new release note has increased the likelihood of seeing the operating system in October.

In October 2021 Microsoft also plans to release Windows 10 version 21H2, with improvements in the quality of the operating system. Windows 10 version 21H2 is based on a version of Windows codenamed “Vibranium”. Windows 11 version 21H2 is based on a version of Windows with the internal codename “Cobalt”.

Unlike Windows 10, Windows 11 will receive a single feature update every year. And the company has already confirmed that Windows 11 will receive new "feature updates" in the second half of each year, which means no major new updates will be released in the first half of the year (April or May).

The next major update for Windows 11 is codenamed “version 22H2” and is expected to debut in the second half of 2022. Or at least that's what a support document no longer available on Microsoft's website said. Microsoft will most likely release annual updates around October and November in the future, with early access for developers.
