    Windows 95, an easter egg has been hidden for 25 years

    Albacore, famous for his discoveries relating to the Windows world, discovered the easter egg hidden in the Windows 95 Internet Mail program. The secret in question opens a window showing a scrolling list of the names of the developers of the software in question.


    鈥淚t's never too late to find an easter egg. I happen to notice what looks like a never-before-seen easter egg in Windows 95 / IE4 Internet Mail. You need to open its About window, select one of the files and type MORTIMER. The names of the program's developers will start scrolling, 鈥滱lbacore tweeted yesterday.


    To access the easter egg, just:

    • Open Internet Mail
    • Click on Help and then on About
    • When the information screen opens, click on the listed comctl32.dll file so that it is highlighted
    • Type MORTIMER on the keyboard

    After typing "mortimer", a small window will appear which will start listing the names of the developers of Internet Mail, as shown in the video below.
