Pokémon Go has an upcoming event focused on Psychic-type Pokémon. It was to follow the day of the Abra community event which was scheduled for earlier this month before being canceled. But the Psychic Event is underway, and you have the opportunity to participate in obtaining various rewards and to acquire several Psychic-type favorites and potencies to add to your roster.
The event will take place March 27 at 8:00 a.m. and end on March 30 at 22:00 p.m. in your local time zone. During this time, you will be able to capture Abra, Drowzee, Ralts, Spoink, Baltoy, Wynaut, Beldum in 2 kilometer eggs, and to debut is Gothita and Solosis, which are also available in these eggs. You may encounter all of these Pokémon, and other types of Psychics, more frequently in the wild during the event. You can only meet Solosis during the day and Gothita at night, which means these same restrictions apply to any eggs acquired from PokéStops or friend gifts. You may encounter Abra, Slowpoke, Drowzee, Exeggcute, Jynx, Wobbuffet, Girafarig, Ralts, Meditite, Spoink, Baltoy, Beldum, Brozor, Bothita at night and Solosis during the day in the wild more frequently.
Baltoy is receiving her shiny version, and you can meet her at this event. You'll have the chance to meet him alongside all of the other Psychic-type augments over the weekend, so try to use that time wisely to find him.
Additionally, Field Research tasks obtained from PokéStops during the weekend will have more psychic-type themes, increasing your chances of completing them. However, recently Niantic announced that it is currently removing some field research tasks from the game due to the quarantine of people around the world to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. We don't have specific details on what to do, but it likely affected those scheduled for this event.
The Psychic Show event begins Friday, March 27 at 8 a.m. For those who practice weekend self-isolation, try to avoid going outside as much as possible, using decoys purchased from the Pokémon Go store to bring these types of psychics together. You can also contact your friends in the game to receive gifts from them and have a better chance of adding more PokéBalls and 7 kilometer eggs to your inventory.
