One of the most interesting and perhaps revolutionary innovations of Google Translate has finally seen the light: how many times have you ever wanted to translate a text and to do so you had to first copy its contents to the clipboard, then open Translate, then paste it and finally translate it? Well, forget all these taps because with tap to translate you will no longer need to tire: Google Translate will always be with you just a tap away. Now just a tap on the text to be translated, whether in a chat, in a comment or in the lyrics of a song, to display the translation of the selected text, without having to switch from one app to another!

That's all? Not at all: another novelty concerns the Offline mode, which today also works on iOS and which has significantly reduced the amount of data to download on Android. Here's what Google tells us:

In fact, we know that many of you find the data packages for downloading new languages too heavy, sometimes the connections are not very stable and you always have to deal with the monthly data limit included in your subscription. For this reason we have reduced the offline packages for Android by around 90%, which now only weigh around 25MB each. Offline Mode is very easy to configure: just tap the arrow next to the name of the language to download to get the desired package. Therefore, whether you are online or offline, you will always be ready to translate any text; you can even use the tap to translate function, it also works offline. We also added Filipino, resulting in 52 supported languages.

Finally, Google also introduced the Chinese among the languages supported by Word Lens, as shown in the picture:
