Turn off Google Meet in Gmail

Then you have to select your google account in the list at the top of the interface. If you have several Gmail accounts configured in the application, you will have to repeat the following operations for each account.

In the list of parameters, locate the option " meeting "In the" general "section. This is the right option deactivate so that the Google Meet tab is no longer displayed in the Gmail interface.

Once these few operations have been carried out, you just have to go to the main menu of Gmail to rediscover the application as it was displayed before the update. If you're not using Google Meet at all, this will display a longer list of emails in their inbox.
