How to make Pokémon GO & # 039; s Hatchathon 2020

Pokémon GO returns with an event at the start of the year: Hatchathon 2020. The game's coaches now have more motivation than ever to start the year with more pace and place those eggs in incubators to start hatching. Here's what you need to know about the event.

What to do

The event takes place January 2 at 13:00 p.m. PST ending January 16 at 13:00 p.m. PST. During the time period, you receive twice as many Pokémon Candy and Stardust rewards after hatching an egg.

Your overall goal is to reach 50 km before the end of the event to receive:

  • 50000 Stardust
  • 15 rare candies
  • Unova stone

You want to constantly put eggs in incubators while walking around with Pokémon GO active. Eggs have special rewards, and Pokémon with a unique look are available inside them.

Exclusive items

The eggs you hatch during Hatchathon 2020 have the chance to produce a unique Pokemon with an exclusive look for the New Year.

  • 2 km eggs can contain a Pichu or a Chenipotte with a party hat
  • 7 km eggs can contain a Pichu with a party hat

Beyond these items, you have the option to purchase a pair of 2020 specs in the Style Store. You can collect them for 160 PokéCoins in the "Glasses" section.

Event Pokémon

As you walk around you might notice a two star raid in the gyms. These locations also have event-exclusive Pokémon, such as Rattatac and Qulbutoké wearing a party hat. You and your friends can work together to try and take them out during the event.

Beware, you might notice an exclusive Pikachu in the wild also wearing a party hat. You'll have to move around to locate them, so check out areas that you'll typically find Electric-type Pokémon, such as industrial buildings, colleges, and drier climates.

Additionally, all Party Hat Pokémon (Pichu, Chenipotte, Qulbutoké, Rattatac, and Pikachu) all have Shiny versions. If you are lucky to find one of the savages, be sure to run after them when you see them.
