Before we start talking to you about the tablet Huawei MediaPad M5 lite 10, I want to clarify a fundamental point: the characteristics of devices of this genre, my love for computers and the complete dominance of the market by Apple had never pushed me to approach the world of tablets before.
This - for me new - device, however, managed to stimulate curiosity. I'll explain why in this review.

Huawei MediaPad M5 lite 10, simple but elegant
To characterize Huawei MediaPad M5 lite 10 is a minimal design, no frills, with rounded corners and a front almost completely occupied by the screen from 10,1 inches and the company logo, located at the top left. However, the Home button, which also integrates the fingerprint reader, and the front camera also find space.
On the right side it is easy to locate the volume control buttons and the on and off button, while on the short side on the left are the USB Type-C input and the 3,5 mm jack.
Built in aluminum, the back of the device allows instead excellent heat dissipation, making it possible to use the tablet even for long periods without identifying overheated areas.
Screen and audio designed for entertainment
Huawei MediaPad M5 lite 10 is the perfect tablet for entertainment, designed for the whole family. This very nature has prompted my tests to focus mainly on viewing multimedia content and gaming experiences.
To make it perfect for viewing is the aforementioned front display from 10,1 inches with 1920 x 1200 resolution and 224 PPI. The latter, combined with the presence of an advanced mode designed for eye comfort, allows you to enjoy all the details of movies and TV series at any time and without effort.
The presence of a display with similar characteristics, although optimal for indoor viewing, instead shows its few defects outdoors: in addition to the shallow blacks, the glass screen ends up reflecting every detail. This forces you to use it almost exclusively indoors, a flaw that contrasts with the low weight - 500 grams - and the great portability.
Fortunately, the audio compensates a bit: on board we have the Quad Stereo Speakers signed Harman Kardon, which soon prove capable of generating excellent audio, capable of expanding best in all directions. The experience with headphones is also excellent.
To provide enormous support both during gaming experiences and for watching TV series and movies are the Kirin 659 processor and the 5100 mAh, battery that allows the tablet to support you for several hours or even for a few days.
For the little ones
The tablet Huawei also includes the application Kids Corner, an entire corner dedicated to the little ones. The latter, protected by a password, allows parents to decide the time slots in which the child can use the device, also reporting any incorrect positions during use or identifying abnormal behavior.
In the children's corner of Huawei MediaPad M5 lite 10 there is also the app Monster Class, which allows you to download a series of multimedia content and readings that you can always keep on your tablet.
Camera and software among the flaws
Huawei MediaPad M5 lite 10 however it is not free from defects. Above all, the quality of the two cameras that will basically serve you only to take some memories, to replace the smartphone in an emergency or for reading QR Code.
The second flaw, on the other hand, concerns the software. Do not misunderstand me: Android 8.0 Oreo works great, while EMUI 8.0 it appears at times poorly optimized for tablets, albeit capable of guaranteeing good customization possibilities.
Finally, I would like to point out the possibility of using the M-Pen lite Stylus, to which some applications are even dedicated. But be careful: you will not find it in the package. You will therefore have to buy it separately in case you want to give yourself to the drawing or take notes like on a classic notepad.
Who is Huawei MediaPad M5 lite 10 for?
The signed tablet Huawei is the ideal device for all those looking for an unprecedented entertainment experience, perfect for evenings with Netflix and popcorn, whether alone or with friends.
The price also makes it an excellent compromise between entertainment and performance: Huawei MediaPad M5 lite 10 it will in fact be available in Italy at the price of 299,90 € in the Wi-Fi version e 349,90 € in the Wi-Fi + LTE version.
