Special events are very important in Pokémon Go, and you can expect Niantic to cook something up every month to keep all of his trainers entertained. Some of these events surround the holidays and the next Valentine's Day 2020 celebration is on this list for February, alongside Tornado's all-new five-star raids and a celebration of the Sinnoh region.
The event begins February 14 at 8:00 a.m. and continues through February 17 at 22:00 p.m. at your local time.
During the Valentine's Day celebration, you can expect to encounter a greater amount of pink Pokémon in the game. You can expect to see Luvdisc, Skitty, Snubbull, Exeggcute, Hoppip, Slowpoke, Jigglypuff, and several more. These Pokémon will roam the wild, in eggs, and on raids during Valentine's Day, so when you're not spending time with your loved ones, you can catch trying to add to your pink collection. To help you out, the usual lure mods last six hours, and each Pokémon you catch grants you twice as many candy on catch. Additionally, shiny versions of Happiny and Chansy will be available during the event, so be sure to try and capture them.
Additionally, Audino and Alomomola make their Pokémon Go debut during the event. However, they won't appear as much as other pink Pokémon. You must be lucky enough to meet these two. You may want to rely on these powerful decoy mods to increase your chances of finding these two Pokémon during the event.
To help ramp things up during the event, on February 15 from 14:00 p.m. to 17:00 p.m. local time, you should find Raids featuring Lickitung in Four Star Raids, and this one should know about Body Slam. To participate in more Raids, be sure to visit a Gym Disc and spin it to receive five additional Raid Passes, but you cannot keep them after this exclusive amount of time. If you are a Lucky Trainer, you might be able to encounter Shiny Lickitung during these raids.
Make sure to stock up on Lure Mods before the Pokémon Go Valentine's Day celebration and catch all kinds of PokéBalls to give yourself extra chances to catch all of those Pokémon during the event.
