We have read about rumors about the release of Windows 10 Mobile for the "old" Lumia - or rather, those who have not been equipped with the basic operating system: between false news and delays, however, the situation has remained confusing and still today Microsoft is unable to give an exact release start date for its new mobile operating system.
Among the global operators who have provided potential dates, however, one stands out enjoys a certain reliability at least for us british: We are talking about Vodafone city, that for the first time has "unbalanced" by posting on the Lab forum la possible start date for the release of Windows 10 Mobile, along with the devices that will receive it first.
To be precise, Vodafone states that theFOTA upgrade to Windows 10 Sara available starting from the week 7-13 March for the following device models (clearly the Vodafone branded versions):
- Lumia 1520;
- Lumia 930;
- Lumia 830;
- Lumia 735;
- Lumia 635;
- Lumia 535.
We emphasize once again that this is a news released by Vodafone and not by Microsoft, therefore - although Vodafone in general gives almost totally truthful information - delays or inconsistencies may occur.
To consolidate this thesis there is the recent release to the participants of the Insider Preview (slow ring branch) of the build 10586.122 of Windows 10, which the most insistent rumors want coincides with the stable version of the operating system.
Excellent clues coming from the city, therefore, that suggest a release that is getting closer and closer: it would be almost time, since the scenario concerning Microsoft's proprietary mobile ecosystem is not the most rosy, and that the adoption of the new operating system on devices already on the market - however quite widespread - could rekindling a new interest in the operating system.
