Amazon relaxes returns policy during coronavirus containment

Amazon relaxes returns policy during coronavirus containment

Amazon announces relaxation of return policy during coronavirus containment measures. Most items ordered between February 15, 2021 and April 30, 2021 can be returned until May 31, 2021.

Amazon has just updated its dedicated product returns pages, with this message: “Nothing is more important than the health and well-being of our customers, employees and the communities we serve. It is for this reason that we are temporarily extending our returns window to allow you more time to return your products to us. Most items ordered from Amazon.com or sellers between February 15, 2021 and April 30, 2021 can be returned until May 31, 2021".

Amazon is not the first distributor to grant extra time for returns. As we report in this file on after-sales service and deliveries from the largest distributors in Your country during the coronavirus, Fnac, Darty, Rue du Commerce or even Materiel.net have all announced similar measures given the situation. In addition to this measure, Amazon had already implemented some solutions to continue its activities in the best possible conditions during the crisis. In particular, the platform gives priority to products deemed essential. This can lead to certain products like boxed video games that cannot be purchased.

Delivery times can also be lengthened given the high demand. Amazon has also announced the creation of 100 jobs in its warehouses to absorb the sharp increase in the level of orders. And new health measures to protect its employees. The site is also actively fighting opportunistic sellers who are artificially inflating prices to take advantage of the crisis.
