Honor 6C PRO review, the entry level with interesting performances

Honor 6C PRO is an entry level that may not shine for aesthetics, but manages to offer interesting performances even under stress!

Design and display

A mix of aluminum and plastic, the color we tested for gold. I will never fall in love with the contrasts between strong color back panels and very white front panels. Of course, it comes down to personal tastes.

The dimensions of 147.9 x 73.2 x 7.7 mm for a weight of just 145 grams, make it quite compact and it will not be a problem to perform some operations only with one hand.

2,5D glass protects a display from 5,2" IPS LCD. Despite the HD resolution, the user experience is pleasant. A very bright panel with good viewing angles. The bezels are unfortunately quite generous, especially considering that there are no soft touch keys and that the fingerprint reader is positioned on the rear.

Hardware and software

On board the Honor 6C PRO, the processor MediaTek MT6750. By now, we have met him on many smartphones. It is a Octa core capable - if well optimized - of offering the best balance between performance and energy consumption. In support, 3GB of RAM memory and 32GB internal memory, expandable via microsSD giving up the use of the second SIM.

The operating system of Honor 6C PRO is Android Nougat, under the interface EMUI 5.1. A customization that offers all Honor and Huawei smartphones a series of extra features. Like any custom version of the OS, the trade-off is to wait a little longer for updates than with stock operating systems. In exchange you will have several additional features available, which certainly are not lacking on EMUI.

Overall, thehardware / software optimization has been carefully crafted. Honor 6C PRO did not show any sagging even in moments of use a little more intense. Remaining fluid, within the limits of its performance.

Energy Autonomy

The battery from 3000 mAh of Honor 6C PRO allowed me to easily cover the day of use. Certainly, accomplices of the good autonomy are the display with resolution limited to HD and the low energy processor. Present different forms of energy saving and optimization of applications open in the background.

The battery is recharged in just under an hour via the micro USB input.

Multimedia Subgroup

Considering the price range, the Honor 6C PRO it is satisfactory in its basicity. A main sensor from 13MP, flanked by led flash. Forget low-light photographs, but with the right conditions you will be able to capture a few moments with sufficient quality. The videos are shot in full HD resolution.

The front chamber from 8MP it gave me acceptable selfies, but at times far too noisy. Also, remember that you are using a device with an EMUI interface, so beware of the thousands of beauty filters that could ruinously distort the photograph!

Audio comes out of one speaker audio mono placed next to the micro USB input, it is quite high and clear. Promoted.

Connectivity and sensors

The maximum form of data connectivity of this device is the 4G. Good reception. Also present are Wifi, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS (A-GPS and Glonass). Absent, I would say unjustified, the NFC.

The sensor suite is very basic: accelerometer, brightness / proximity, compass and great fingerprint reader.

My experience of use

Honor 6C PRO has an aggressive selling price, it is around €170, and all in all it offers a good user experience even to those who experience the smartphone as an extension of their body. The undersigned, for example!
