▷Orange internet problem: DNS is involved, here is the solution 🥇

Today Orange subscribers are having internet connection problems. DNS actually blocks access to web pages. Fortunately, the problem is not inevitable, and while waiting for Orange to correct the problem on its side, we offer solutions.

Since this morning, many Internet users have not been able to access web pages as they wish. An error message is displayed as if they had lost the connection. Now, lThe problem is not with their internet connection but with the DNS.

For those who do not know, the DNS (Domain Name System) allows, among other things, to establish a correspondence between the address of the website and the IP address of the machine that hosts this site on the network. When the server in question is down, the Internet user cannot access the site, an error message is displayed on his browser.

This is not the first time that Orange or another vendor has faced the problem, but it takes time to correct it. Thereby, Orange has already announced that we have to wait until the end of the day for the situation to be restored. In the meantime there is a solution to be able to connect to websites despite this problem.

Solution: change the DNS server

The only solution to fix this problem is to modify the DNS server of the computer, on Windows or Mac. Thus, you can use alternative servers, most often those of Google (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4), FDN (80.67.169.12 / 80.67.169.40) or OpenDNS (208.67.222.222 / 208.67.220.220). To access these parameters, the operation is not the same depending on the system you are using. Here is the procedure to follow:

On Mac: System Preferences> Network> Advanced> DNS
On Windows: Network and Sharing Center> Modify card settings> Click on the network connection> Properties> Internet Protocol.

After doing this little manipulation, you should be able to connect to your favorite sites in peace. We hope that is part of it.
