Indicate what you like and what you don't like
- Upon opening, TikTok displays your For You news feed.
- Scroll through the videos by swiping your finger from the bottom to the top.
- Touch the screen once to pause playback.
- If you like a video, double-tap the screen, or tap the icon once. Heart to the right to indicate it.
- If you don't like a video, long press the screen. A drop-down menu appears. Press on Not interested) if you just want to hide this clip.
- Press Plus at the end of the line next to Not interested).
- The menu changes. Press on Hide videos from this user, so as not to see his future or past creations.
Change your preferences
- From the Home screen, tap the icon Moi at the bottom right of the screen.
- Your profile page appears. Press the three small dots at the top right.
- In the Content and activity section, press Content Preferences.
- On the next screen, tap Update interests.

Subscribe from a video
- When you are on a video you like, press the button +, under the profile picture of the user, on the right of the screen. The + briefly turns into a red checkmark before disappearing.

- To find your selection, press Subscriptions at the top of your TikTok home screen. If it has a red dot next to it, it means new content is available.
Subscribe from a search
- Tap the icon Discover at the bottom of the home page.
- On the next screen, enter a user's name by entering it in the space provided at the top, then press Search.
- A results page is displayed. The most relevant are classified into several categories: Top, Users, Videos, Sounds and Hashtags.
- Press Users to display profiles whose names are close to the terms you entered. Certified accounts, therefore official, are marked with a blue check mark.
- Press the one that interests you.
- The profile screen is displayed. Press the button Subscribe.
Modify your subscriptions
- Tap the icon Moi at the bottom of the screen to view your profile.
- You can find three pieces of information under your profile: the number of subscriptions, the number of subscribers (members who follow your account) and the number of likes you have received.

How do I subscribe to a hashtag on TikTok?
Hashtags - or keywords - are not optional on TikTok, and almost all videos contain them. By adding them as favorites, you can easily find the sequences which relate to them.
Select a hashtag
- To subscribe to a keyword from a clip, in the accompanying description, tap the hashtag that interests you.
- You can also tap the icon Discover at the bottom of the home page.
- The following screen presents the most popular hashtags of the moment. You can verify this by the number of videos using them indicated in a small gray rectangle to the right of the screen. Press on the keyword that interests you.
- In either case, the next screen displays the clips associated with the hashtag. Press on Add to favorites.
Find videos associated with a hashtag
- To access your favorites, press the icon Moi at the bottom to view your profile.
- Press the flag, next to the button Modify my profile.
- On the screen that appears, tap Hashtags up.
- The list of keywords added to favorites is displayed. Press on a key word.
- On the next screen, the videos corresponding to the selected keyword are displayed in anti-chronological order.
- If you want to remove this keyword from favorites, press the button Added to favorites at the top of the screen.
