The Odyssey G5 is one of its most promising models, with a lot of arguments for a very interesting price. It is therefore based on a 27-inch 1440p VA panel. It is also curved and offers a refresh rate of 144 Hz.
If only AMD's FreeSync is officially supported, G-Sync will also work if you have an Nvidia card! With a minimum frequency of 48 Hz, however, a relatively powerful GPU like an RTX 3060 Ti will be needed to take full advantage of it.
The image quality is more than correct considering the price. When it comes out of the box, the colorimetry is correct, but can become excellent after a probe stroke. On the other hand, the maximum brightness disappoints and, VA panel requires, the viewing angles will be quite bad. Attention connection level: it only offers HDMI and DisplayPort.
Samsung delivers here an affordable screen with solid performance. It is one of the best value for money around.

How to choose the right PC gaming screen?
Which refresh rate (Hz) to choose?
A higher refresh rate will improve game smoothness and may give an edge over competitive games, especially FPS. We advise you to opt in priority for a screen with a refresh rate higher than 100 Hz for the majority of the games and to privilege the models 144 Hz (and even 240 Hz if you have a powerful graphics card) for the amateurs of CS : GO, Fortnite, Overwatch, Apex Legends, PUBG or Call of Duty: Warzone.
G-Sync ou FreeSync ?
G-Sync (Nvidia) and FreeSync (AMD) technologies allow, in short, the screen to synchronize its refresh rate with the frame rate in play to provide a better rendering without lag.
