5 tech TV series not to be missed

Technological TV series. We are now invaded.
Technology has now become an integral part of our world, eventually conquering even the small screen. Thus every year we witness the birth of new productions that try to tell us about the present or that even catapult us into a science fiction future, imagining the evolution of hi-tech objects that populate our everyday life.

Ma what are the tech TV series not to be missed? Those who have managed to best describe this world or to imagine our future? We have collected 5 that you should definitely not miss.

Cyberpunk and technology with Altered Carbon

If you like cutting edge technology and cyberpunk style too, Altered Carbon is for you. The series is located on Netflix and has two seasons of ten and eight episodes.

We are in the year 2384, a period in which human identity is encoded and loaded onto a chip, called cortical stack. This stack is surgically inserted into the spine and is transferred from one body to another.

This means that humans can survive the physical death, it will be enough for them to insert their memories and their conscience in a new case (body). These bodies are can be synthetic, cloned or natural and are considered gods guards of the mind.

It is a technology very expensive and not everyone is able to afford it. There true death it only happens when the pile is completely destroyed, in this way both the custody and the person's mind will die.

The only ones able to afford infinite storage cases and battery backups are the Mat, very rich people of a certain level. The protagonist of the series is Takeshi Kovacs, a former fighter who was part of the Protectorate's special military force.

Later, however, he decides to destroy the power of the Matt and subvert the order of the Protectorate, thus joining the Spedi, a group of rebels. Kovacs, however, is killed and his battery is in prison stasis, ie without a body.

About 250 years later, however, he finds himself in a new custody: he will have to contend with a new mission, sort out his past and sort out some pending issues.

Altered Carbon: dalla carta a Netflix

5 tech TV series not to be missed

The series is inspired by the cyberpunk novel Bay City, by Richard K. Morgan and a few years ago it earned a place in my top ten favorite TV series. Despite having much preferred the first season to the second, Altered Carbon looks like a great product.

The plot is intriguing, mysterious and full of twists: everything is set in a universe that is really well done and full of details that make the difference.

The photography is stunning, and the actors, especially Joel Kinnaman, fill their roles best. Personally I preferred him in the lead role, Anthony Mackie was very good but he couldn't convince me that much.

If you are also passionate about fighting, action e intrigues, this series is perfect for you. It is only a few meters away from the home remote control.

Before Queen: Rami Malek and Mr Robot

If you want to get into the life of a hacker and better understand how their minds work, Mr. Robot is the series for you. The protagonist of this series is Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek), a young computer engineer from New York. During the day he works as a cybersecurity expert, but at night he is a skilled hacker.

The young man though does not have a clear mind: hallucinations and paranoia create numerous problems for him and do not allow him to relate to the people next to him. His life is characterized by constant anxiety and paranoia.

His purpose, as a hacker, is to act as a kind of computer science Robin Hood. Elliot is later approached by Mr. Robot, a mysterious figure who intends to get him into a secret group of hackers, whose goal is to free humanity from debt to the banks and make the bigwigs pay.

I was a bit skeptical at first. Anxiety, paranoia, are elements from which I prefer to stay away and I don't know why but this series did not convince me that much. In the end I decided to give her a chance and I did just fine.

Mr. Robot, which you will find on the streaming platform of Amazon Prime Video, is probably one of the best tech TV series of recent years.

The series consists of four seasons, with approx 10 episodes the one. It is a series with a very specific plot, which has a well-marked beginning and end. You will find it all, suspense, action, human feelings and so much more.

I find myself quite in difficulty, it is not easy to talk about it without risking spoilers or analyzing certain situations in more detail so I throw it on trust: look at it and you will not regret it. Mr. Robot is a complex series and must be followed well, but it will be worth it.

5 technological TV series: Silicon Valley and doubt

Another little gem, this time offered by HBO, is Silicon Valley. The series tells us about the daily life of a group of programmers. One of them, Richard, is working on Pied Piper, a particular musical platform: it will allow musicians to understand if their songs are original or not, if they are original material or plagiarism.

Pied Piper however reveals himself not useful e not very appreciable aesthetically, for this reason it is completely set aside. This particular platform, however, hides something much larger and more interesting that will put Richard and the others in front of a very particular test.

Innovative, here is the right term to describe this series. It is a series characterized mainly by sarcasm and irony, perfect if you want to have a good laugh while talking about technology.

At the same time, however, it has the ability to highlight the darker aspects of the new economy in a realistic and sophisticated way.

From some points of view, Silicon Valley also manages to put nerds in a completely different light from the one we know. No more "nerds, losers" but smart people, capable of embarrassing even the greatest exponents of high finance.

How? Watch the series and find out for yourself.

It is not one of my favorite TV series, but without a doubt it has been very pleasant to see and discover. They are six seasons, made up of about 10 episodes each. Give Season XNUMX a try and I am sure you will finish it in a few days.

Advice must be followed: Upload and the digital afterlife

Upload it is one of the latest news of Amazon Prime and it was suggested to me by a dear friend. When it comes to interesting TV series, I never back down! The series is set in the near future, where humans have the ability to charge their consciousness into a subspecies of "Digital afterlife".

When young Nathan loses his life in a freak accident, he finds himself in his digital paradise called Lake View. Together with Nora, an assistant who will help him settle into this new world, Nathan will start his new life away from loved ones, will get to know the girl better and will have to deal with the mystery that surrounds her death.

First, the main theme. How nice would it be to be able to charge your conscience into an "alternative world" and live, despite death? Sure, it's not easy, but I'm confident in the cutting-edge technology we have… Approximately.

The series was created by Greg Daniels, which we remember for products like The Office, King of the Hill and for having collaborated on the screenplay of The Simpsons in a few seasons. Did I give you this information for what reason? To make you frame Upload. It is not the usual "technological TV series", but much more.

This is an interesting one mix of comedy e drama, able to completely turn your day around. What differentiates this series from many others is the ability to combine multiple genres in a realistic way and show them to the public.

Here too you will find everything from healthy and hearty laughter to romantic moments that will make your heart melt. I personally found the very interesting plot and it caught my attention right away (I swear it's not Robbie Amell's fault).

In short, you absolutely cannot miss this little surprise present on the Amazon catalog and now I give you one more reason. This is the first Amazon series I've ever seen, my personal belief has always been Netflix.

So, friends, get ready because the binge-watching it is insured and I totally wash my hands.

Technological TV series: the unique and inimitable Black Mirror

B, available on Netflix's streaming platform, is probably the emblem of technological TV series. The series has five seasons, a special and an interactive film. This is an anthological series, which means that characters and scenarios are constantly changing.

The series is set in the near future but, at the same time, is inspired by the life we live every day and focuses on current issues and the impact that the introduction of new technologies has on the human being.

Black Mirror è la TV series, one of the best I've ever seen: take my word for it, because I've seen a lot of them. It is not easy to talk about it, since each episode has its own plot, different characters, technologies and emotions, so I'll just explain it to you in a few words.

Disturbing, incredibly realistic, interesting e only. It is so realistic that it almost creeps up at times. The technologies mentioned in each episode are wonderful, but at the same time disturbing. This is a very special series, which deserves to be fully seen and appreciated.

We cannot speak of a linear, well-organized plot, as each episode shows a different story and characters. What we can talk about, however, are those four adjectives that I mentioned above. Adjectives that will remain live in every episode.

It won't disappoint you, I'm sure.
