American Gods tells the epic story of an inevitable war between the Old gods of mythology and New Gods of technology. Moon later discovers that his charismatic leader is actually the Norse God Odin.

Odin, however, is also her adorable and unreliable one father.

In this new season the protagonist Shadow try to escape this fate by moving to the idyllic, snowy town of Lakeside, Wisconsin. Here he hopes to be able to create his own destiny for himself, guided by the gods of his lineage, the Orishas.

But he soon discovers that the seemingly calm city actually has gods deep e dark secrets from which he will certainly not be able to escape. The only choice - and it is an obligatory choice - is to decide what kind of god to be.
