Disney and Sky today signed a historic agreement that will shortly bring the Disney + plus video streaming service to the Now Tv digital entertainment platform.
Now Tv what is it?
Now Tv is the live and on-demand service present only in England, Ireland and Italy owned by Sky.
The Now TV service arrives in Italy in 2014 with the aim of reaching all those customers who wanted an alternative to traditional TV without entering into binding subscriptions and contracts, or in cases where it was not possible to install a satellite dish in their home.
In fact, the Now TV service works via an internet connection, and it is possible to access the entire program schedule of the platform through its convenient application.
The Now Tv application is compatible with smartphone, tablet, pc, smart tv, console and through the Now TV Smart Stick, connectable to any TV with an HDMI input.
The Now tv offer consists of different packages, which include films, TV series, football and sports.

Disney + Plus on Now Tv: what the agreement provides
The agreement signed by Disney and Sky to bring Disney + Plus to Sky's Now Tv platform includes a multi-year contract to bring all Disney + Plus content to Now Tv.
Now TV customers will be able to access the immense Disney + Plus catalog and enjoy Disney TV series such as The Mandalorian, or movies like Lady and the Tramp shot in live action, all with a single remote control, a great convenience!
The agreement also provides for Sky to retain the rights to TV series such as Terminator: Dark Fate.

Sky said via its CEO Jeremy Darroch:
“We have built a strong partnership with Disney for thirty years and are delighted that our customers in the UK and Ireland will be able to continue to access their favorite content from one place, on Sky Q. This is a great start to what is set to be another big year for Sky - in 2020 we will launch new channels and genres, we will start building Sky Studios Elstree and we also have new original and returning content on the way. "
While Kevin Mayer president of Walt Disney Direct-to-Consumer & International states:
"We are delighted that Sky is offering the Disney Plus service on their platform and, together with our other distribution partners, will offer exceptional reach at the launch [of the service]."
Will Disney + Pus on Now Tv arrive in Italy?
Disney + Plus is already available for Italian customers from 24 March 2020.
