Dyson V11 Absolute Pro Review - The Birth of an Empire

For those few of you who do not know Dyson we make a short recap. Legend has it that in 1978 Mr. James dyson bought a vacuum cleaner from Walmart and he was not at all satisfied. The vacuum cleaner in fact became clogged, lost power and relied on bags that had to be continuously emptied. For these reasons, Dyson decided to disassemble the vacuum cleaner only to discover that a layer of dust was blocking the bag from the inside, which is why the appliance worked well with new bags but became less efficient as the bag was filled.

Combine this experience with a visit to the local sawmill, where Dyson observed the cyclone filters, And that's it. Thus the first prototypes of bagless vacuum cleaners were born. Before selling the patent and using the proceeds to found his company in 1991, Dyson created over 5000 prototypes. Thus we arrive at the foundation of a company that over the years has become a reference point for both competition and consumers. A company that has focused heavily on innovation and design and which today has over 12.000 employees spread across 4 countries: UK, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines.

Dyson V11 Absolute Pro is therefore the result not only of the passion and determination of the company founder, but of years of research and development.

Dyson V11 Absolute Pro, what to expect?

The strong point of the new Dyson V11 Absolute Pro is definitely Spazzola High Torque con Dynamic Load Sensor (Dyson DLS). It is a motorized brush with nylon bristles and carbon fiber filaments that uses the DLS sensors to automatically detect the resistance level of the surface. This allows it to adapt the suction power; the power used for a carpet, for example, will be greater than that required for the floor. Everything is automatically chosen by the electric broom.

Obviously it will also be possible to select the suction power also manually. Just rely on the LCD display that the broom is equipped with. In fact, just press a button to choose between three modes:

  • Car, which detects the surfaces autonomously and adjusts the power
  • Boost, for stubborn dirt and maximum power
  • Eco, for longer cleaning

Once the preferred mode has been selected, the display will also give an estimate of the battery life to accurately know the remaining autonomy. The practical display can also notify any anomalies and then show short animations explaining how to solve them

Our test

During our test we put the potential of the new one to the test Dyson V11 Absolute ProWe tested the Torque Brush on different surfaces and with different types of dirt and residues. All while always being careful to analyze the battery life.

Dyson V11 Absolute Pro has managed to excel on any surface and with any type of dirt. The new 7-cell battery - in Auto mode - allowed us to clean for 60 minutes, more than enough to clean even the largest apartments.

Other characteristics

The new Dyson V11 Absolute Pro, takes the design from the V10 version from which it inherits two further characteristics. The first is the plunger emptying system whereby it will be enough to remove the tube and press a button to empty it without difficulty. The second is the charging system, via cable and with the appropriate wall bracket. It takes approximately 4 hours to fully charge the battery.

Finally we arrive at the noisiness, which is average, and al weight, which reaches 3Kg but without compromising handling.

Dyson V11 Absolute Pro review: buy it or not?

Dyson V11 Absolute Pro it is undoubtedly an excellent alternative to the classic corded vacuum cleaners. To make it attractive, we think the new High Torque brush with Dyson sensors, but also the new display and improved autonomy. The build quality is that of all the products of the British company: therefore expect to use it without problems for many years.

The price obviously varies depending on the version. The Dyson V11 Abolsute Pro, sold only on the Dyson shop, costs 679 euros. The Absolute normal, which has 8 accessories instead and the classic color, costs 649 euros, while the Animal + variant costs 599 euros.
