The Google app crash problem appears to stem from a recent update released by the company. Some users have encountered the problem on the beta version 12.24.7.29.arm64 of the app. According to the Google app's Play Store listing, its versions may vary from one device to another: it is therefore possible that the app crashes on a completely different version.

To respond to user complaints, the official Made By Google account suggested a restart of the phone. However this method it didn't work for everyone. In addition, some users have revealed that they have solved the problem after uninstalling the update. Others, however, continue to have problems despite having returned to the previous version.

At the moment, Google hasn't revealed anything about this unfortunate matter. So we just have to wait for official communications from the company. In the meantime, however, let's see how to solve the problem.

How to solve the problem?

In March, a problem with the Android System WebView caused several Android applications to crash. While Google has fixed the problem for stable versions of Android, the problem appears to persist for Android 12 Beta users. However, uninstall e reinstall WebView from the Google Play Store seems to be the best solution.

We don't think the Google crash is related to WebView issues. It is more likely to be a bug with the updated version of the app that Google may fix with another update. Until then, you can try to uninstall the update dell’app Google:

  • Go to Settings> Apps> Google App;
  • Then click the three-dot menu> Uninstall updates.

You can also try restart the phone as other users have done. Finally, if you haven't updated your Google app yet, we suggest you expect until the problem is solved.
