Honor 6C - Our review

Honor 6C has recently landed on the market at a competitive price, that is 229 Euros, and it seems to have all the credentials to give smartphones in the same price range a hard time.

But will it be worth buying?

Compact and winning

Honor 6C it comes with a metal shell and a display from 5 inches with HD resolution that performs quite well in sunlight. A processor on board Qualcomm Snapdragon 435, the Adreno 505 GPU and ben 3 GB of RAM which guarantee a smooth use experience in practically every situation, while the internal memory, from 32 GB, allows you to install all the applications you need in daily life.

Connectivity is also excellent, entrusted to WiFi 802.11b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.1 and the MicroSD connector, while NFC is unfortunately absent.

Note then the possibility of using a dual sim, as long as you are willing to accept a small compromise. In fact, the use of a second SIM affects the use of a microSD and vice versa, so you will be asked to choose between a second phone number and the possibility of expanding the memory of Honor 6C.

Finally, the da battery deserves a special mention 3020 mAh, which allows you to get to the end of the day without major problems.

An (almost) enviable photographic sector

But it wasn't just the performance of this Honor 6C that surprised me. The photographic sector is in fact more than good for a smartphone in this price range.

We are talking about a 13 megapixel sensor for the rear camera, with F / 2.2 aperture, LED flash and digital stabilization, while the front one relies on a 5 megapixel sensor. The shots turned out surprisingly good, even slightly better than those offered by the Honor 8 Pro, probably due to the minor digital processing.

But be careful: unlike its older brother, Honor 6C is not exactly a "snap and run" smartphone. To get a really satisfying result you will need to have a little patience.

A yes with reservations

Definitely Honor 6C is definitely a great smartphone characterized by a really aggressive price, but it is impossible not to notice what is wrong.

I'm talking primarily about the design, really too ordinary for a company that has accustomed us to the elegant cut and the original colors of Honor 8. In short, a little more could certainly be done.

Note then the choice in the software field. Honor 6C in fact relies on Android 6.0 con Emotion UI 4.1, which makes it less attractive than competing smartphones updated to the latest version of Google's operating system. Don't worry though: Honor has promised to update the device to Android 7.0. You will just have to have a little patience.
